Maybe they are saving the RBs for a rainy day? McCaffrey played damn near every snap last night. He's going to be toast come the end of season.

I'm more willing to believe that about Rashad Penny due to his lengthy injury history but if they are worried that MAYBE 5 carries per game is going to risk injury then the sport of football is dying to me.

It's also not like Gainwell has ever shown he's a threat to eventually break one. His career long is 18 yards and his long this year is 16 yards. His longest reception is 20 yards. I'd bet they can call up Lew Nichols from the PS and he could give you 3 YPC.

It just doesn't make sense to me and it doesn't make sense that so many defend Gainwell. He isn't good. He's James Joseph.

Oh no bro we have a lot of fun doing it! Especially when the rest of the league cries about it.

Literally it’s the most fun play I have ever witnessed. In my entire sports fandom, I have never once been so excited by a single play in any sport than I am when the Eagles line up for a brotherly shove. I just start laughing, partly because I know it’s unstoppable and partly because I know it pisses EVERYONE on the other side of it off.

Couldn’t agree more! It’s a great feeling no doubt about it. Fly Eagles Fly!

And because while we are unstoppable, pretty much every other team has tried it and failed.

Like Minnesota on back to back shoves last night

MegaJawn is a cool nickname

They aren't saving Penny. They don't like him but are keeping in for just in case reasons.

There is got to be a much more reasonable explanation as to why we aren't seeing him than "they don't like him".  Like he got injured putting on his shoulder pads.

I wonder if they are not happy with how he's picked up the new system?

No idea.  In most cases it’s either that or they have issues with his blocking, etc

He tried picking up the playbook but tore his rotator cuff

I just doubt there's some top secret plan to break him out for the playoffs after a year on the shelf.

I have my weed ready for when they announce the line up card and Bohm and Stott are still hitting 4 and 5.

You'll want to hold it until you see the starting pitcher get yanked in the 3rd or 4th inning because Thompson thinks a "bullpen game" is the best chance to win, instead of giving the ball to Taijuan Walker and letting him go 6 innings.  Walker pitched a minimum of 5 innings in his last 19 starts this season, and the Phillies went 14-5 in those starts.  He 'only' won 15 games this season, and they have him in mothballs for some reason.

It's almost inevitable that Soto or Kimbrel will get lit up tonight.  Who knows what Kerkering will bring.  Hopefully the Phillies have another 5-6 home run game in them tonight.

Something I was wondering and that has probably been discussed, are the eagles going to get penalized for not disclosing hurts on the injury report? They've openly said whatever it is didn't happen in this game, but I don't recall seeing him on the injury report

No. He practiced fully every day and played every snap in every game, so nothing to disclose. It’s just your typical pains throughout the season.

Ranger is going 6 innings tonight. Walker has looked like crap during his last few outings and now he hasn’t pitched for a month. If he is used, it should be for 3-5 outs at most.

They've got to let Ranger cruise, with Wheeler as an emergency 2 inning guy. But none of that matters if they're stone cold at the plate again.

So who can we get as a rotational DE piece for relatively cheap?  Barnett looks like hot doo doo out there in his limited snaps

Nolan Smith

I'd like the Phillies to put up a crooked number in the 1st inning and have the whole game be a party is what I'd f'ing like.....

This is what I think too. They kept Sermon on the 53 all of last year and he had 2 carries.

Leonard Fournette still out there for big RB's .

Rather have fournette than penny, but can't see it happening. He might get a call when Mccaffrey does his ACL

Might just be the Eagles scar-fueled pessimism talking right now, but I feel like if the Phillies were gonna win the series they'd have won last night, instead they looked like they didn't even want to play last night.  We'll see how it goes tonight though.

If anyone is interested to know who has the script
