I'd like the Phillies to put up a crooked number in the 1st inning and have the whole game be a party is what I'd f'ing like.....

Same here, but I just don't see it happening. This is gonna be a scratch and claw fest.

Feeling really good about Desai going forward.  Also with Howie's aggressiveness in addressing the secondary issues.

I will be curious to see if they skip OL/DL next draft and target a CB with their first pick.

Puzzling. He could be that guy but he seemingly fell out of favor over the summer. Would be a cut candidate if we bring in someone else.

Puzzling indeed, but all we have is speculation at this point in time as to what the future may bring.  My personal speculation is that we have not seen the last of Penny yet.

I wonder if Penny is still working his way back from last year’s injury. He clearly lost some explosiveness despite cutting weight.

It's less dire with the trade for Byard, but Cunningham will eventually cost this team if they don't replace him.

I see Cunningham as a give and take ... ying yang ... player.  He gives us considerable strength/advantage in defending the run, but takes away strength/advantage in defending pass plays.  That is a tradeoff I can live with for now.

I don’t see anymore moves unless an injury happens this weekend. Chinn as a LB/S hybrid would be interesting at a super discounted 2025 price but I doubt it very much.

The problim with Chinn in the LB role is that he would be a significant drop off defending running plays.

So who can we get as a rotational DE piece for relatively cheap?  Barnett looks like hot doo doo out there in his limited snaps

So not Danielle Hunter?

4-2 Diamondbacks, and one of the biggest choke jobs in Philly sports history

I think OT is probably the top need on the team but there's an argument for CB being the bigger need.  I don't see them drafting d-line.

Someone report Aj

I am not sure about that as I don't think our LB's have to be monsters wading through a bunch of trash to make tackles.  Jeremy Chinn at 6' 3" and 220 isn't much different than Dean or even Cunningham in terms of size.

They should save it for a critical point, because that sequence is what will get it banned in the off-season.

I don't think they should even save it at all. I agree that a sequence like that would get it banned.

Is it me or does Reuben Frank sound like Darth Vader with his breathing on his podcast?

Seems like you always drop one you shouldn’t, and hopefully pickup one as well.

The Eagles are good enough that there aren’t any individual games they shouldn’t win.

 Cowboys/Chiefs/Bills/49ers/Cowboys.

Going, say, 4-1 in that stretch would probably be a tougher task than winning the Super Bowl come playoff time.  So that would be picking up one they shouldn’t. 3-2 is probably what they should be in that stretch.

If they dress Penny, Scott would probably be the guy that sits.  Which means Penny would be your primary KO returner plus a handful of other ST snaps. (Scott had 10 ST snaps on Sunday)

I stopped listening to him.  The game has passed him by.  While he is throwing out interesting statistics, all the other beats are talking about analytics.

Also, he starts every response to Zangaro with "Yeah....".

Boring as hell.

It would be interesting to see a 1st and goal from the 5 sequence with it.  I guess there’s no point in saving it if it’s getting banned anyway.  But I figured maybe you leave that one for a time when the season is on the line.

Yep you're not going to have a perfect player in every spot

Phils just need to not swing at all the crap they did the last time they faced the kid.

They need to make an adjustment to protect Harper but the manager is an a-hole.

Wish I could say I trust this team, but I don’t. I haven’t believed in the team all year. Since April they just didn’t look the same to me. Just not a fan of this offense.

Our 3rd down defense is going to take a massive jump going from Evans/Brown to Byard and Cunningham to Sydney Brown. We finally have enough bodies for 3 safety sets against teams that want to throw out of base (Dallas, SF)

It's kind of weird that I trust Ranger Suarez more than the bats tonight.
