I thought the DT play today was excellent. All of them played well.

It was, but it also better be.  The DT investment is the reason they are scouring division 2 flag football leagues for safeties and linebackers.

Is there anyone out that that slapped their wife or kicked someone pregnant that has talent that we can sign for lb or safety?

Dallas won't want to help someone in their division

I thought the DLine actually played well. The Pats did a good job of getting the ball out of Mac Jones’ hand quick.

The Eagles were out coached today. Those two early turnovers were a huge, huge blessing.

But on a positive note… the best teams find a way to win even when they don’t play well.

Sure, but you wanted to see it on the field and you did today.

JTJr is coming home!

Let's hope!   :flex:

Love the axeman!

Defensively, I have very little to complain about. Carter was basically unblockable. He had so many hurries and he was held constantly. In fact…. He was held on his sack.

Davis was great as well. he was also held on his half a sack. NE’s run game got NOTHING and they tried like crazy.

Dean played so well before he got injured. He was in filling holes in the run game and sniffing out short passes and screens.

NE attacked the middle of the field through our zones. I hope desai gets the defense to get up and disrupt the routes early. That’ll give enough time for the d-line to get home.

Jordan Davis imposed his will today, and he was still only the 2nd most impressive Georgia DT today.

The Eagles love to shove their own guys down everyones throats. They love Quez and they love Gainwell. For whatever reason they not only refuse to take the L on those guys, and they don't even really have to full on take the L. They're fine to have on the team, but they should've found a better 3rd option than Quez and should be featuring Penny and Swift at RB. But they drafted Gainwell and Quez so come hell or high water they're going to set out to prove how good they are at developing guys. Even if it's to their detriment.

The DL was exceptional.  The LBs and safeties are a mess.  Slay will get love for his pick 6, but against a bad group of weapons in bad weather, he and Bradberry weren’t close to sticky in coverage.

The DL was the only reason for tough sledding for the Patriots.  But they reliably wrecked plays.

From a talent standpoint, I think Swift is by far the top RB. However, it’s easy to see that his head isn’t always in the game. That’s why Campbell was willing to ship him for very little. In my opinion anyway

That is not Davis' best rep.   He didn't move the pile there.   However, Sweat did a great job reading it... crashing down and slamming into the pulling OG, and holding the POA right there, and Dean did a great job beating the TE to the get into the hole.   Davis was doubled and moved out of that gap, then worked to get back into it when the OT slid off to move to the second level.

They were not the problem today.

Hurts didn't trust what he say and the OL got their asses whipped.

With the way PFF typically grades our DL, they are going to need to drop a tarp over the room before they grade that one.

Once he learns how to finish these reps, it's a wrap.

Just like last year, sloppiness in the road opener and fans panic.

Then we turn around and beat the brakes off of Minnesota at home as a get right game.

Can’t wait.

Yeah they were flying around that first quarter. I’m not sure what happened, just seemed like really poor defensive assignments. Having a LBer fake a blitz to drop back to delay blitz it WILD. Having a LB fake a blitz to go cover Gesecki 1 on 1 in space is WILD. Forcing DBs to Old m be reactive rather than disrupting and WR/QB timing is so odd to me. These 7-10 yard cushions are very confusing to me.

Whether or not they're the problem isn't the question. It's "are you playing your best talent?" and the answer to that is no.

Carter looked like a DROY candidate tonight. A nice silver lining to a overall **** game.

Oh and I guess our special teams actually looked decent somehow. Woo...

Sirianni is right. F the haters.

As you said, they better be. All that $ and draft capitol.

It’s bound that Slay and Bradberry take a step back. CBs fall off quick. I didn’t notice either being too bad though. Slay did get beat on that TD but I wasn’t sure if the safety screwed up. I’d have to rewatch it.

Quez was quite good when called upon today, as a matter of fact.
