The positive is that is the best the Deadskins will probably look all year. And we still won with all the adversity. I liked how Hurts led and responded today. Was kinda missing in the Jets game. Good hard fought win for the Birds. Defense had a clunker but offense showed up. Gotta give credit to Howell for some perfect throws.

It's hard for other teams to copy this blueprint, because most teams don't have 3 small, fast, shifty WRs (McLaurin, Samuel, Dotson). Our DBs do better against size and route-runners than pure speed.

The turnovers are eventually going to get them like the jets game. They have been fortunate with the turnovers not being more than 1 loss. They have had multiple turnovers in 4 of the last 6 games. Also at least one turnover in 7 of 8 games. Only game they didn’t turn it over was the first commanders game, which if they did they’d have likely lost

I’m guessing lamb is gonna get 15 targets based on how they used him today and how the eagles can’t cover anyone out of the slot or middle of the field.

The D was excellent last week.  WA played it's 2nd best game of the year, it's best being the 1st game against us.  It's not a great D, but fortunately our offense is.

There’s nothing else Howie can do at this point. They just traded for Byard. Will probably take him a few weeks to get settled in. Nakobe has been a liability on the field, they’re shot at linebacker, and the defense can’t cover the middle of the field. They just need to become opportunistic and start forcing turnovers to get the game back into the offense’s hands like they did today. They’re just simply not good enough to be a shut down defense.

That was my biggest fear from immediately inserting Byard.  I wonder how much he ended up playing.  Im a huge believer in the secondary learning how to play together as being just as important as talent (within reason)
