Eagles IIRC didn’t have a-lot options when Joseph was around. With Gainwell they do, and Sirianni’s comment is asinine.

Yup, James Joseph probably wouldn't have been s bad 3rd down back, he was a tough runner could catch and block but as a featured back he was useless, much like Gainwell, he can block and catch and run he's just not really good at any of them.

Like I said too bad I had high hopes for him after the playoffs last year but so far he's been pretty pedestrian.

Time to saunter over to niners nation 👀

Didn't the Dolphins get into a lot of trouble for doing this with Tua?

He cleared the technical protocols so they are legally protected but you don't do that to a QB that you want as your long term QB.

The Dolphins actually broke some protocol rules (I think so anyway)

Some one remind how unbeatable the 49ers are and how we have to root for them to lose against Dallas, because that might be their only loss... or whatever.

Right ???was only 3 weeks ago that some in the media were saying the niners could go undefeated...

They're a good team but the law of averages seem to be catching up with purdy.

Denver needs a TD here. Can't afford to waste this turnover if they want to put the Chiefs away.

Purdy is too small/frail to play this way. He's going to get crushed

Kyle Shanahan is 0-36 down 8 going into the 4th? Most coaches probably have bad records there, but that seems especially bad

No idea how CMC survives this season. He's playing every snap again.

They have to because they don't have a real QB.

I genuinely think Kyle Shanahan is mentally retarded.

They heard you lol.

He also doesn't have the arm to live off those ill advised throws across his body and across the field.

No way!!! if it weren't for the jets field Arizona would be the worst field in the league

The number one thing that irritates me with Kyle Shanahan is he runs his offense the exact same way against bad teams that he does against good teams. The Eagles pass rush is a great pass rush. You’re not gonna be able to do the same things you do against a bad defense. Like the play where purdy got hurt. He ran that idiotic play vs. Seahawks and cardinals last year. Both had pathetic pass rushes and bad defenses. It’s why it worked and he thought it would still work. Tried to do the same thing against the eagles pass rush where he had a backup tight end block an elite pass rusher and it ruined the game for them.  same type of stuff he tried last week against Schwartz and Garrett wrecked them

Well if these scores hold our Philadelphia Eagles will have the Best Record in the NFC and NFL after 8 Weeks. KC is down by two scores.  49ers are headed for their 3rd Straight Loss if they can't come back.

Imagine being so well known for a specific job that you become known as "the sodfather" then fail so horribly at it by creating that abomination that people can't stay upright on.

I usually hate trading first round picks for vets.  It really screws with cap balance.  You gain the certainty of a good player, but you lose years of controlled cap hits on a big talent.  If you are a stacked team, that may be something you can’t afford.  And if you aren’t a stacked team, then why are you trading your first round picks?

I just see a really weak nfl and a really weak Eagles secondary.  2 first round picks seem like a small price to pay to become the SB favorite and to have a 2024 cb situation that isn’t a disaster.

I hate watching Mahomes play qb.

Cleveland will probably lose this one. Oh well.

Did anyone know Reddick had 16 sacks last year?

I would also put it actually solves your CB problem at least one of them for the next decade. The kid is 23 years old and was the first team all pro last year. I have no problem finding a way to pay that dude and give up those picks and pay him if that’s the type of play i am gonna get for a decade. I’d argue he’d be the best corner they’ve had since Eric Allen. Saying a lot cause Vincent, Taylor, Lito, brown, Samuel and slay (before now) were all really good

49ers are down Williams and Samuel....

But that doesn't explain why Burrow has completed nearly 90% of his passes today.

Best kept secret, I suppose.

Is that true?  Hmm seems someone would have mentioned it.

And Mixon… TD.
