I think it was last year that I found out Staley is a defensive HC. I thought it was him calling all of those bad plays lol. Their defense hasn't been great either

It would have to be an award for excellence in 2 close games vs a division opponent when you get swept by that opponent.

Oh his defense is not good considering the fact is a defensive coach. That D is as bad as when he took it over, but has more talent on it. I’m not sure how he keeps his job if that team doesn’t get to the playoffs and wins a playoff game.

He backtracked later but he did put it out there.

Based on the today’s events - MIN and LA seem farther into the tank and ready for trades.

The biggest issue with the chargers offense is that it is one dimensional. You look at the numbers on paper and say they are ok running the ball. But their numbers get inflated cause they’ll hit big run then not do anything else in the run game. The 50 yard td run is nice but then the next 25 rushing attempts they average 3.5 yards per carry or less. In the playoff lost you saw that. They can’t consistently run the ball so when they get a lead they have to keep throwing to keep the chains moving. Eventually, their oline begins to wear down and defense gets a couple stops the momentum changes and that snowball becomes an avalanche.
