You forgot one. A glorious 27-28 career record.

Not even a .500 record.

Those are team stats

Hasn't he been having a down year in general? Grated he's been better this year than Edmunds but that's a low bar to clear.

step slow on a few occasions I noticed but I didnt expect much from him today. He met those expectations. I suspect he will improve over the next few weeks as he acclimates.

I don’t think people understand the amount of tanking that we’re about to see happen for Caleb Williams and maybe even Drake Maye as well. It’s going to be NBA level type tanking. I think Kyler is 100% getting dealt before the trade deadline. They just announced that Dobbs is starting again next week so he’s their horse they’re going to ride for the Caleb sweepstakes.

The Vikings may be content on tanking for Maye now as well.

Vikings being 4-4 hurts them in the Williams sweepstake and likely maye too. I don’t think they are gonna go 0-9 to finish the year. Likely gonna win 1-2 games so takes them out of both. At 4-4 they actually hold the 7th seed currently. I wouldn’t be surprised if they believe with Murray they can make the playoffs and he’s 26 so he can be their franchise Qb going forward.

Let me say I don’t think it’s smart, but I can see Minnesota talking itself into something like that knowing they have no QB in the future at the end of this year and they might not be picking high enough to get the quarterback they want.

We're 3 point favourites over Dallas. Vegas is saying our teams are even.

I feel like chargers play every night game and who in their right mind would pick this matchup for SNF?

It's the only stat that matters. And the QB is the most important player on that team. If you're such a "game changing" QB you should be better than .500 and it's not like he's had rosters devoid of talent.

You asked about Herbert. Not the Chargers

Was the let down before the bye, just an AR thing or a league wide trend?

This 100% came down to the hype with Justin fields this offseason. Only way this is a primetime game is cause they thought it’d be fields vs. herbert

Part of me wonders if the Vikings call the cardinals about Kyler murray as cousins is gone next year anyway and maybe they go in on murray.

Why would they want Murray?  Maybe it’s just me, but I wouldn’t want him

Might be another high scoring game. Depends which defense comes out

That's what I said. Perennial underperforming Herbert and his chargers against a team with a division 3 QB. Zzzzzzz

I wouldn’t want him either. However they are 4-4 currently in the wild card race. Add on no cousins after this year so they have nothing going forward. At 4 wins and potentially 2-3 winnable games on the schedule they could finish with 5-6 wins and not be picking high enough to get Caleb Williams or maye. I could see them talking themselves into murray who’s 26 and believing he can be their franchise going forward.

again, this is not me saying that he is. I don’t think he is. But I could see a team like Minnesota talking themselves into it.

Bears are better without Fields 🤣

Bagent can be their future…I like that kid

Not that I am complaining, cause I'm really not, more that I am flabbergasted by it, how do the 49ers go from outright destroying the Cowboys to getting dogwalked by bad teams the following weeks?  Granted I would like for that trend to continue, it's just amazing to me that it's been happening.

The number one thing that irritates me with Kyle Shanahan is he runs his offense the exact same way against bad teams that he does against good teams. The Eagles pass rush is a great pass rush. You’re not gonna be able to do the same things you do against a bad defense. Like the play where purdy got hurt. He ran that idiotic play vs. Seahawks and cardinals last year. Both had pathetic pass rushes and bad defenses. It’s why it worked and he thought it would still work. Tried to do the same thing against the eagles pass rush where he had a backup tight end block an elite pass rusher and it ruined the game for them.  same type of stuff he tried last week against Schwartz and Garrett wrecked them

His face irrates me … and his whining too.

Wentz must have pissed off a lot of people behind closed doors; he is way too talented to be unemployed with the level of QB play and the depth charts around the NFL.

I was always his biggest critic here.  But the guy has Josh Allen level talent.  That doesn't just go away instantly.

Yeah…it’s weird he’s not employed in this league.

Gilmore vs. brown matchup is going to be fascinating. Gilmore has been Ok this year not what he once was. I still think smith and goedert are going to have to play big in that game.

My soap box for the evening....

In a somewhat chaotic race to a great 7-1 record, the Eagles have had lots of things sputter: Hurts accuracy/reads/turnovers, offensive playcalling, ball security, pass protection, getting individual stars involved in the offense, consistency of pass rush...all of those issues have been very intermittent at worst and have either already improved or have reasonable paths to solutions.

One thing has been a persistent problem almost every week: receivers gaining instant separation to the point that mediocre QB's can play easy pitch and catch into big windows 2 seconds into the play on a short drop.  This is a cornerback problem.  Not scheme.  Not so much safety.  Definitely not pass rush.  It's easy, early, and consistent separation.

And if you want to call BS on it, then why do we face the same offense every weak?  I feel like we play the same team with the same offensive philosophy and playbook every week.  The weakness and the strength of this defense is that glaring and the way to attack it is that objectively obvious.  We worry so much about LB and safety, but I really don't think our big name starting CBs are doing anything we arent getting from the replacement level guys surrounding them.

Are the bears planning on playing any defense tonight?

The Eagles NEED Gainwell.  This offense isn't going to work right if Swift goes down.

They need Gainwell to keep Swift healthy and they need Gainwell as a RB if Swift doesn't stay healthy.

He may be getting snaps that he doesn't "deserve," but they need him.

I don't disagree that they need a RB2 behind Swift but they don't NEED Gainwell. No teams needs a RB that gives you 3 YPC. They NEED to address RB2 and find someone that can offer them something.

It's no secret, I hate Gainwell. But he offers nothing. There's nothing he offers that any other RB can't. Still blows my mind that Boston Scott can't even get a damn carry.

Ronald Jones would be better

Leonard Fournette would be better

Kenyan Drake would be better

Yup

Fields blows and no one in LA watches the chargers, probably better to put them in primetime every week just so someone other than that paid lady chargers fan can see them play

Does anyone have an explanation as to why our WRs inexplicably slow down on go routes right as the ball is coming in?

I’m actually surprised cincy vs. niners wasn’t put in the primetime matchup. Potential Super Bowl matchup.

mnf isn’t that great this week either. Lions vs. raiders.
