I think it’s just a slight misinterpretation.  Over the year, the Eagles have demonstrated a commitment to big investments and not settling for less at OT, RT included.  All pro RTs aren’t easy to come by, so it’s natural to think top 10 pick.  But that’s obviously not the only way to do it.  Explosive raw talents are available in rounds 2 and down and I figure that’s the route they’ll go.  Get a big talent who isn’t ready to contribute and therefore doesn’t go top 10, and let him learn from the best.

Eagles have a number of openings coming up next year. Could impact what Howie does in free agency and weigh on how they rank players. They have only Dean signed at ILB. They have only Sweat at DE.  Their backup G, Opeta, and swing T, Driscoll (although Fred Johnson is signed) are UFAs. If Kelce retires, they need a backup C and presumably Steen moves to RG. Once again, the only RB signed is Gainwell and the backup/slot WRs are free agents. Would love to see a Swift extension during the bye and maybe OZ too.

Against the dolphins DeSai blitzed more than he had in any game and he played a season high cover 2 snaps after having the least amount of cover 2 snaps in the league.

How'd that go?

They held the number 1 scoring offense to 10 points and a season low in yards by half.

So what does Desai do the next week?

Roll out the soft shell zone bend but don't break til the red zone Defense and gives up almost 500 yards and 30+ points to one if the worst scoring offense in the league.

I just don't get it.

Hopefully against Dallas Desai has something up his sleeves and switches up his coverages Instead of playing prevent D like he did the whole game against Washington.

I wonder if Siri or Howie or someone tries to persuade him.

Justin fields mentoring the backup bagent is like Lloyd Christmas mentoring Harry dunne

Lol the bears. He still should’ve caught that

Thats one of the worst drops i can remember

Feel like kmet with an actual Qb would be a great weapon for the bears.

I think something that has been understated is that the eagles had their 7th different starting secondary of the year today, not to mention the musical chairs at LB.

Playing zone on the back 7 is all about communication And cohesion and understanding where your teammate are or should be, that's tough when week to week there's a different guy next to you or behind you or you're in a different position.

Hopefully the eagles can get healthy their down the stretch and develop some chemistry cuz right now it's pretty incohesive.

People noticed the absence of Jalen Carter for most of the game while the DL couldnt get a sack and didnt seem to have too much pressure.

People noticed Reddick's clutch time sack.

No one mentioned how disruptive Milton Williams was, especially late in the game.

So I just did.

I predict a reddick extension first

Davis and Carter being out hurt them against the run

Williams looked good.

yeah. Really want them healthy for next week. I think we can win without them but I want it to be that much more secure.

Nice to know I have more money than Justin Herbert.

The guy clearly let go because of the whistle

I don't know, I mean Desai seems like a smart guy and I think the eagles approach on D due to analytics may hand cuff DeSai a bit.

Maybe DeSai wants to play more like he did in Miami but the uppers want him to follow the analytics?

The analytics play it safe, they play the numbers and chances but football isn't 5 card  stud sometimes one has to go all in just because ones gut says so.

Reddick (DE) is signed though 2024 unless they want to take a 19mil dead cap hit next year

I dont want to over-react to one game. Especially this game as McLaurin does what McLaurin does against us always.

But this was the first time that I thought Slay looked like the game has been passing him by.

And Bradberry may have been just as bad.

McLaurin, and Dotson who is very similar are a tough matchup for this team. Ill give them a week to bounce back.

But if this continues, Im not sure we wouldnt be better off with Ricks and Jobe starting. Like I said- I dont want to over-react.

Lamb will likely be unguardable for this defense next week. But I think we can win convincingly even if we let him get his. Should be able to shut down everything else.

I think that is it then. They've been this way long before Desai was here.

I’m not really sure what OZ does here, so I’m on a different boat for that one.

We all love Swift, but the money has to be right when making commitments to RBs.  I’d love to invest further in the OL and have stud RBs perennially come here on 1 year deals to get better money elsewhere ***cough, Barkley, cough***

We’d be like 1-7 if we couldn’t win when one receiver got theirs.  One bonus to this season is that they are learning to consistently win when getting helplessly torched by the pass.  That will be useful against the Chiefs.
