They need to lower the threshold for handing a safety job to Brown.

I get it…they trust that Evans and Edmunds are going to understand their responsibilities and run in the right direction without blowing coverages left and right.

But once Brown understands where to line up and what his assignment is, things will only be better in December and January if you play him more now.  It’s only going to be pain with Evans/Edmunds.

There are SB caliber teams that start non first round rookies while surrounding them with talent.  I think we are going to have to do that sooner rather than later.

Isaiah Simmons for a 7th was just highway robbery. Ugh, I hate our stance on LB.

Why are you posting logic

The only thing I could think of is, maybe they felt Gainwell might be a little quicker and shiftier on a wet field. Maybe they felt Penny would be more of a plodder in the rain and the defenders would get to him quicker. Just a wild guess...

I guess I'll clarify that I thought Dean (and even Cunningham) looked good in the run game. No LB looked good in coverage from what I saw. Which is going to be a problem.

He wasn't a problem but by no means should he be the feature back.

So funny.

During draft-  DONT DRAFT RUNNING BACKS HIGH THEY HAVE NO VALUE.

1 game into season-  OUR STARTING RUNNING BACK SHOULDNT BE STARTING

Edmunds was letting guys run WIDE OPEN. Evans was a step late numerous times. I want Evans to be a good player, I really do. I think he has talent. Not sure if the injuries just took his reaction abilities away but he wasn't there today.

Did the Eagles make a mistake by moving on from Wallace instead of Edmunds?

- Fletcher Cox can be a force in a limited role. If Desai uses him right, he could have a big year.

Milton Williams is really good and was excellent today (save for a semi bogus personal foul).  That’s on top of the impact Davis/Carter had.

3 stud DTs plus Cox.  Cox should be playing light snaps at 110mph.  His stamina is crap but his impact is still legit in bursts.

I've been at the top of the they need to add a top RB fan club. I hate their RB approach.

Yeah, him shoving the WR out on the last play was great situational awareness

He also had a great hit on the punt near the sideline. That was a tough spot for him to come in cold at the end and he made probably the play of the game pushing Boutte out.

If you don't draft a RB high you need to have a good rotation. Gainwell is fine as a change of pace guy. Meaning we need some other paces so that we can change them :)

Yea, the penalty on Williams was garbage. My guess is Tuipulotu is the odd man out once Sippos/Covey need to be added to the active roster.

Daniel Jones is really bad...

Remember the time giants Twitter tried to tell us Daniel jones was good. That was fun

Daniel Jones looking like...Daniel Jones.  And a splash of Carson Wentz.

Come on, that was the greatest INT throw in football history

OK, I don't want to be totally negative about today's game, so here are some things I liked. I'll post what I didn't like later.

- Jalen Carter is the real deal. I was wrong about him and not wanting to draft him but boy, the more he plays the better he's going to be. He's tenacious.

- Jordan Davis looked his best yet.

- Josh Sweat, despite the penalty, looks great off the edge. Big year for him coming up.

- Fletcher Cox can be a force in a limited role. If Desai uses him right, he could have a big year.

-Sydney Brown is going to be starting within a few weeks. Until then, he's a treat on ST.

- Jake Elliott hitting those kicks (despite the missed PAT) in that weather was damn impressive. Lucky to have him.

- Josh Jobe is a player.

Jobe and Brown as gunners are an upgrade. Both had great tackles on the PR

The Giants gave this doofus a huge payday.😆

Dumb face of Eli

Dallas defense this dominant or Giants that bad? Me thinks its a mix of both.

Dallas has a top 5ish D, but the Giants are a top 5 draft pick waiting to happen.

Damn Dallas looks ready to play. It was embarrassing how bad Hurts looked today.

My Giants fan friends still stick up for the guy and his contract.  It’s hard to keep a straight face.  They are intelligent football fans too.

The only thing worse than terrible RBs is having a great RB.  You build you offense around a player that either holds out or locks up the worst cap money you’ll ever spend.

You want a rotation of inexpensive good RBs, which is exactly what we have.  The coaches went run heavy, abandoned the rotation, and treated Gainwell like a premium feature back.

The personnel philosophy and on-field utilization were a mismatch today.
