I don’t think Milton is going to get as much as some of us think. But even if he does I feel like we’re always able to find and hold depth at DT wether it be vets or rookies.

Exactly what I was thinking... But really doesn't make up for it. They could have had Jalen Carter. Gibbs is nothing special at all. Probably could have waited and gotten him in the 2nd. OR drafted Achane. OR just have kept Swift. Huge draft blunder.

I don't know about that. My youtube.tv was a disaster on Sunday when all my other streaming services were just fine. It was definitely a youtube.tv issue.

I like Gibbs but I’d never take a RB that high. They should’ve waited cause was good value in the 2nd to 4th round. Add on you just signed David Montgomery. Could’ve had Carter or Gonzalez (maybe he doesn’t get hurt in Detroit like New England). Both make that defense much better

I’ve been on this thought for a while, you’re never going to win a Super Bowl with Jared Goff. When he faces better defense that pressure him he tends not to play well like last week at Baltimore or vs. niners. And then when you look at his home and road splits , he’s a much different quarterback on the road than at home. So if you have to go on the road for a playoff game, he’s not winning on the road.

It’s why I said during the draft if I were the lions, I’m never gonna be picking this high again with this talent and Goff at qb that I should trade up and try to get Bryce Young or CJ Stroud. Because if I get one of them and they turned out to be great, I have a cheap quarterback for a couple of years. With all the talent they have accumulate could be a Super Bowl contenders for a while. I don’t think Jared Goff is good enough to win you win Super Bowl.

Busy and expensive weekend for me. Going to Penn State game, Saturday in Maryland then Philly Sunday. Excited.

Disagree with your Gainwell point, he's ben awful, in the few catches he had any RB in the team could have made those catches, most he was uncovered.

As a runner over his last 3 games he's ave. 1.7 yard/carry and has a lost fumble.

I'm fairly certain Boston Scott or Penny could do better and catch wide open passes, why the coaches continue to stick with Gainwell when he's been downright awful and not give other guys a shot is confusing to say the least 

 

You may remember when they drafted Gainwell and some were over the top about him and cutting Scott, I suggested he would be a good third down back and that led to conversation about him playing in the slot by some.  I am pleasantly surprised about his toughness and quickness to the hole. Would I like to see Scott used more?  Hell yes.  He got one snap yesterday.  And yes, I like Scott as a pass catcher but I wonder if Jalen can see him across the line.  I would not equate Gainwell to Penny on receiving ability.  Penny would be the worst at that of the RBs on the team.  Now the best pair of DTs the Eagles will face are who they played yesterday.  Rivera decided to stop the run and let Hurts try to beat them with his arm. Hobson’s choice.

Yes but Milton also plays DE and all over that DL, he's a great piece to have that can move all over that line.

But yeah I think it'll be tricky to retain him price wise.
