Wow... that's pretty good considering the circumstances. A lot of cap space opening up for next year too with the expiring deals and they got rid of PJ. Nice.

And if anything, KJ Martin is going to bring some above the rim energy that Philly should love. Can see him becoming a fan favorite.

According to shams they get

2026 clippers first

2028 clippers first

pick swap

2 2nd rounders

along with their owning their own 2029-2031 1sts, the sixers actually have assets to use in a deal. They were depleted before. Add on like you said they’ll have 50-65 mil in cap space due to the expiring contracts. Can use those expiring contracts this year in a deal. They are actually valuable due to the new cba especially if a team wants to blow it up and reset their cap

When we look back the big mistake was keeping Simmons instead of Butler. That was the move that cost us a championship or two.

Thank you Captain Obvious

Maybe a guy named Sirianni's wife cheated with a guy named Scott because neither Boston or Josiah are getting any love.

That's a weird name for a guy

Ah man didnt want to give up petrusev but oh well. Got picks and junk to match salary. Yay. I guuss…

Pretty much a reset yr anyway

I don't think it's a reset year.

We weren't excited coming in to the season with a perennial underachieving roster that made no big moves in the summer and Harden drama hanging over the team.

We often forgot to consider the impact Nurse could make,  and the late Oubre signing was massive.

This team,  without Harden looks like it was going to be in contention.

Now,  they will be able to add to that.  They should be really,  really good.

The interesting piece to me in this is Kenyon Martin, Jr.  He comes from NBA blood lines and is still very young at 22, but with 3 seasons under his belt in the NBA.  He's got all the athletic talent you could want in a wing player.   He's not done developing yet, if he's willing to put in the work.

Loved K-Mart. I haven't watched his son but if he plays with that intensity,  he will develop in to something.

Also what Woj says. It actually gives the sixers hope to add to maxey and embiid to compete with Boston and Milwaukee. We didn’t have that cause we didn’t really have many assets and really only getting some cap space at year’s end. Now you have assets and cap space and depth for this years team

The Sixers will use those to pieces to upgrade the team this season. Morley just didn’t have that player available to him yet. Maybe it ends up being Lavine if the Bulls rightfully decide to blow it up.

That may be the big move.  Or if they want to maintain cap flexibility heading in to summer,  it can be DeRozan who is an expiring contract.

Good project for Nurse

Going to be disappointed if the Eagles don't do anything even tho if they waited and did the Byard deal today I'd have been ecstatic.

Then Woj fell asleep with the details

All I read from this was, Sixers .... trade .... Harden.

Win.  HUGE WIN

I just don't see the Eagles trading for a non-slot CB

Those are the 3 most important words in that, most definitely.

Still no fan of Morey but great job getting him out of here and getting that much in return

Yeah, there's a real chance that there are more shoes to drop.   The real question to be answered in all this is what is the draft pick compensation...  the Sixers' cupboard was pretty bare, so having a few options to move might make things interesting around the deadline.

What's the protections on the 2026 pick?   I think I saw the 2028 is unprotected.

100% right!

Why did the Lions bother to create a great looking retro helmet, only to pair it with jerseys that looked like they were picked from a landfill?

That move is ultimately just him trying to fix what he broke by bringing Harden here in the first place.    He had the opportunity to trade a headache player for a young all-star point guard plus some extras without any baggage.  Instead he turned that down and went out to bring in another headache player with extra baggage, but not just any headache, an OLD headache!!!

Morey dug this hole for himself... its nice that he's trying to successfully dig himself out of it.  That trade was a nice first step.   But, Morey still sucks!

So, is that the pick swap as well?

Seems like a good CB2, eh at best CB1 who's looking for CB1 money.

But at some point, Ryan Poles needs to stop trying to outsmart himself and build a damn team. Galaxy brain BS
