The fact that the Bears traded a second round pick that is gonna be really high for sweat then were just going to trade away Johnson is ridiculous on their part. They should be trying to sign sweat and Johnson long-term so that they have two pieces on that defense that are good for the future. Poles should’ve been fired after that disgrace on snd and the idiotic claypool trade. The panthers trade looks good but nothing else he’s done has remotely worked out.

Eagles are 7-1, already traded for a starting safety.  Howie has never made a trade on the day of trade deadline.  He's schooled the entire NFL on "how it's done" in trades for years.

There are variables to consider which include how much any team is willing to pick up the phone to Howie and the extent they're willing to listen. Byard was a big acquisition. We might still hear of a small move.

Jerry is determined to prove that he was the reason for the success of the 1990s Cowboys. Therefore, he will insist on simply re-signing his draft picks to massive extensions while completely disregarding positional value and free agency. It's how you end up giving Zeke a massive deal with 2 years of team control left (before tags), and paying Romo and Dak elite QB money to be above average. The Diggs contract is just the latest example.

Their scouts are great and they draft well, but Jones screws it all up.

My guess is they might be part of a package to move up in the draft for a QB.
