Opeta has struggled in pass protection but part of this is the offense passing more and rushing less.

It's fair to say, with Calcaterra's history of concussions, many of us assumed he'd be on a slower return to the game. They must have known Jurgens may have been a week or so away, so Julio up essentially retains him on the roster.  They can cut Scott next week, I think

Just finished an All Hands HR department work call, 145 people run by the Chief HR Officer.  At the end someone didn't realize she was off mute and yelled: 

"Dude, the f'ing bag smells like weed, what the F?"

Yea, I wouldn't be surprised either if a promotion to the 53 was part of negotiations with Julio. Now he'll get a 53 man roster paycheck during the bye instead of a PS one.

 

Carter being a full participant today is a great sign the injury isn't necessarily as bad as we thought. Not good for their OL though

My thought is they want to bring up 3 people from the PS. Signing Julio to the 53 allows them to elevate the other 2 from the PS, and they also know Julio is going to be there longer than 3 weeks.

Either Calcaterra is going on IR or Patrick Johnson is getting cut, and Jurgens can take that spot. If Calcaterra is still on the team, but out, they can elevate EJ Jenkins and then Ben VanSumeren for Patrick Johnson's ST reps

Maybe, but since we only elevated Julio last week and didn't really sustain any new injuries, I'd be curious who they feel is needed to also be elevated. We already have 4 TE's on the roster so don't see them elevating a guy that just got here.

Excited for Steen but I hope he's ready.  This is gonna be a huge game.  Everyone needs to play their best, no more excuses, turnovers, mistakes.  Bring their A game, full potential no more "we're not playing our best yet."  This next stretch of games is time to stop talking about it, and play your best.
