I'd still take him in a heartbeat.

Nope. Look at how Jalen Hurts handles himself compared to Caleb Williams. I'm taking Hurts 10 out of 10 times. I used to knock his repetitive coach speak and his ever steady emotional state but my goodness, that's actually what I like about him now. Caleb Williams is going to be a sideshow no matter where he goes.

Disagree. I think Caleb Williams is showing us what the modern, coddled NIL athlete is. He was the one saying he wanted ownership of a team that drafts him. He's the one calling out Max Dugan for crying after a game. I think Caleb Williams is a tremendous talent at QB. I think he's mentally weak and spoiled at the same time and I'd want nothing to do with him as an NFL team. He's not facing anything different than what hundreds of other NCAA players do. He's a diva.

I think we kind of agree with each other. If I'm ta GM of a team, I'm asking what he could have done better to help his team.  He's a diva with inconsistent mechanics, etc - sucking like he has is perfect.  His agent is going to have to point out the elephant in the room and humble him.  Easier when you struggle and you can point at Kyler Murray.  Those combine interviews will be awkward now

DC: And lets move on to Quez.  He's fast but can't catch

Player: What do we do coach?

DC: Leave him open and double AJ Brown.

Except you double brown and Smitty is singled up, you double Smitty goedert is open.

Throw Quez in the mix and it's just one more thing a DC has to account for.

I know it's been a while since Quez has made a big play but he has that potential and it would be great for the eagles if he could get back to his 2021 form where he was pretty good.

I went to the Clemson v Notre Dame game yesterday....was a treat to see Trotter play the way he did. Fun day.

All my friends of course asking if I wanted the Eagles to draft him. Obvious answer: Yes....but had to explain that it was pretty unlikely if he ascends up to a high draft pick.

In terms of polish, Trotter Jr. is 100% and fun to watch... but not exactly easy side line to side line speed or guy I want chasing TEs or making Tampa 2 drops... also I'm rooting for Dean.  In a vacuum, absolutely a guy I want on the team.

He could certainly prove to be one…I guess we’ll see.  I don’t know enough about him to say one way or the other.  He’s got all this NIL money and is already rumored to be willing to say "I won’t go there” to certain NFL teams.  My gut tells me that players that young, who already feel entitled, are less likely to reach their full potential

I think he's 100% already proven to be one. Sorry, I'm not going to pretend a college QB, worth millions and has his mom paint his GD fingernails before games and then cries in the fetal position in her arms after a loss isn't a diva.

Quez too often runs **** routes or the wrong routes. He can’t be trusted to run slants because he’s soft. He can’t be trusted on screens because he’s too soft to block on them and too soft or stupid to understand the situation and pick up easy first downs.

His frailty helped lead directly to three losses, including the Super Bowl.

Other than that, he’s good.

Agree with most of above except the super bowl part

Go look at all the screen shots he was obviously held by the DB who had his arm wrapped around his waist far before the ball got there and at the catch point the DB turned Quez, was an egregious no call that on first look appears Quez either slowed up on the route or dropped it, reason he slowed up was the DB mugged him

As for his routes go watch his 2021 games, his routes were a lot better and he ran with more purpose, 2022 he struggled after getting phased out of the offense and played disinterested.

Same with his bubble screens, he had zero problem in 2021 catching running bubble screens.

Like I said hopefully he can get his head screwed on, eagles could use him down the stretch.

I think Caleb William is seeing that life isn't easy at times.  A few months ago,he was the dogs dangly bits, now reality is hitting that he won't get the playoff shine. In the longer term, will do him good and I dare say some NFL teams are loving how he reacts to adversity

Is being the dogs dangly bits a good thing...😳

I get being emotional after a game but I dunno about this. First, he has his mom paint his nails and now he practically curls up in to the fetal position for her to hold him after a game. That's who you want leading your team?

I don't disagree. However, there's showing emotions and there's crawling in your moms arms in the fetal position.

That was a quick score by KC

He would have curled up in her lap if he good have

Am I wrong in thinking that we'd be a 3 win team right now without AJ? Running game was good the first few games but the offense has been fairly impotent outside of Hurts throwing up the ball and praying that he comes down with the ball lately. I don't trust BJ's playcalling ability enough to bridge that talent gap right now.

I don't think you're wrong

Smitty kind of disappeared for a stretch as did goedert and the run game dried up but AJ has been unreal over that stretch and im not sure how they win without him.

I doubt GMs and scouts are saying "well he went and hugged his mom after losing a game.  No way we're taking this guy"

You're probably right but it was a bit more than a hug, he was ugly crying while his mom spooned him...

Drake Maye is good too…

He should probably go drag race. That’s more acceptable.

I guarantee you they at least notice it. Just look how deep GMs and scouts dig during the pre draft process and in the interviews they do at the combine. They are looking at this and saying, THIS is the guy who might demand ownership of the team if we draft him? QB is a position that will be making $300 million by the time his 2nd contract is due. They are going to want to know as much as they can about him as a man and his character. What adversity can and can't he face?

Penny will finally get his chance today.  I hope they give him more than just a couple of carries here and there.  It would be a tremendous addition to the offense if he could regain his previous form.

Our back 7 desperately needs more team speed, not less. Trotter Jr is good, but is better served going to a team with fast, athletic DBs. That's just not us.

Yep. He literally ran to mommy and cried uncontrollably. Talent doesn't mean NFL success at QB. You have to lead and have people being willing to follow you when things get tough. That dude needs a binky strap on his helmet.

Ok maybe not a good look for some.  The guy is close with his mom apparently.

If you were a GM are you passing on him because of that?
