For the last 2 years, I've been saying TE2 is a need for this team and so many say it's not a need, the depth is fine. Now here we are talking about Julio Jones taking TE reps.

The last few drafts have been loaded with TE talent and the Eagles walked away with Grant Calcaterra. Hey, maybe they sign Tyree Jackson off the Giants PS!!!

Plenty of people have been asking for a TE especially at draft time for someone to complement Goedert. Guess we'll see what AO can bring to the table now.

Not trying to beat a dead horse since the call came out in our favor but that pass short of the end zone wasn't even a catch.

I blame him for calling a complex call when ball security is priority #1. Either way, the whole play was a mess so I'm not placing the blame on Swift for that.

It's really not that complex a play, it calls for accurate execution (or you know players to look where they're going) but when guys are getting paid double figure millions to play football, I expect them to be able to run past other football players without running smack into each other, it's what separates the football players from the Mark Sanchez's.

Cowboys fans complaining about officiating was rich given our QB got torpedo-ed at the news, Dak probably didn't get a 1st down on the sneak and they called a weak Reddick roughing the passer on the last drive of the game.

Correct.

Dammit, Goedert has to have surgery.  Probably out for 3-4 weeks.   Damn. I didn't like how that Defender grab and twisted his arm.   Same with Washington and the Face mask.  Thankfully the Bye Week will be a part of his recovery time.  Hopefully he'll be back sometime in December.  Anyways my favorite win of the Season by far.   Yes the Miami game was good too but this one meant way more because of the stakes and standings.

You do realize that Siri designs the plays and makes some calls in game as well right?

The Johnson hate is getting out of control. He called a good game yesterday for the most part outside of the deep shot on 3rd down towards the end of the game. They were perfect in the red zone yesterday too after everyone complaining about that all season long as well. He was the least of their problems yesterday.

The players and their mistakes continue to be the main problem. They basically had three more turnovers yesterday if they don’t get lucky and the ball doesn’t bounce their way. Including that awful one at the end which would have lost them the game. Statistically and from every metric, this offense is basically identical to last season’s. The main difference being the turnovers and that’s on the players not Johnson.

A gut punch to lose Goedert, hope a return by late Jan is possible but we really needed him over the next few weeks.

And the deep shot down the field was a Hurts decision. He saw the one on one and went for the kill. Given the outcome I'm not going to get gripe about an aggressive play like that. They certainly need better execution. Unfortunately now they're down a TE1 so need to clean things up post the bye. They're exactly where I thought they would be with 1 or 0 losses going into the bye with things to clean up coming off a super bowl appearance and losing coaching staff and major contributors. I'm going to also take this time to remind folks about the pre-season... no one cares that they didn't play a ton now do you ;)   Health is more important than playing like well oiled machines to start the season. Protecting the players makes sense given how much they've been banged up this season so far.

Reading back…lots of talk about the DL.  The edge rushers had an outstanding game, the interior got almost no push the entire game.

Desai getting cute rotating a run/pass down package is really killing the defense.  There’s no stability and everyone is lost.  Dean was bad and lost with the green dot, Morrow you could see was frustrated because everyone was confused.  I think they’ve pretty much acknowledged that Slay is the only serviceable corner having him follow the #1 as well. Bradberry was peak Byron Maxwell bad, and has been almost all season.  He’s a net negative on the field, you’re almost better going 10 v 11

Lots of talk of Blankenship having a bad game…curious why people think that.  Dude is all over the field and inserting himself in plays he has no business being close to.

About 4 weeks for Goedert it seems

For some reason people decided they aren't going to like Blankenship and that's that.

What I expected.  Pretty good news.

They played soft shell the whole game for the most part. Dallas feasted on it but didn't make the plays when it mattered. Desai was right IMO. Only gave up 23 points to a high powered offense and one of those drives was 1/2 a field because of a great KR.

He got blasted by a lot of people for the TD to Tolbert, because he was in the frame and the closest.  He started at the ‘A’ at the top of Tolbert route and somehow beat Bradberry to the play when Bradberry gave up.

Then I blame the play call and total execution rather than just Swift.

If he ends up missing only 2-3 games, I will happily take that.

He stopped a TD. Thought that was a great play. People want to just bish about something. 8-1 sheesh.

The 3rd and longs are easily the most infuriating part right now. That's two weeks now where converting a 3rd and 15 almost seems inevitable.

Howie has some work to do on the secondary for next season. I hope Ringo develops into something. I wouldn't be surprised if they spend a first on a CB.

Just hope Roby can come back and shore up the slot and Bradberry can get it together for the second half.

Only 23 points is a cop out. Dallas should have realistically had at least 30 points yesterday if not for unforced errors.

Soft shell doesn’t bother me if people know their assignments.  The problem is constantly rotating Ricks/Brown in at nickel, while moving Slay all over to ensure that Bradberry is hidden as best as possible is causing issues getting lined up.  There was a play late in the 4th where Morrow was spending so much time getting the CB’s heads out of their rears he couldn’t react to the snap.  There is no synchronization with what they’re doing.  Desai isn’t right there.

People need to get it through their thick skulls that LB and Safeties aren't going to completely lock up freaking modern day WRs. Not with the rules how they are and such. Hell our corners can't even lock up WRs why would the safeties smh.

Blankenship was coving the other half of the EZ on that play at the snap. Blankenship should not have had to come to that side of the field, let alone being the closest to the WR.
