The fact that Dallas somehow went 79 yards in 19 seconds with no timeouts is frankly ridiculous. I don’t think I’ve seen often (or maybe ever) a team with under a minute, no timeouts and run 3 plays and make up 79 yards in 19 second without it being like a Stefon diggs Minneapolis miracle type of catch. Then again saw the eagles allow the commanders to go 72 yards in 4 plays in 43 seconds last week so I’ve seen things man…

Chiefs did against the Bills in the playoffs

edit: that was for a FG, so wasn't as far as 79 yards, but it was somewhere in the ballpark of 50 yards I think in a bit less time.

The goal is to win the SB. Gotta play conservatively with Goedert. IR him if necessary.

That game was a perfect microcosm of the Dallas Cowboys. They put up a bunch of hollow stats that the fans get blustery about but fall short in the end at crunch time.

They didn’t go 79 yards though. They needed in 13 seconds to go 44 yards for a field goal and KC had a timeout. Dallas had no timeouts

Right, he still should've scored even with BG there, and I'm incredibly thankful he didn't cut up field a step sooner, but aside from that, I'm not sure what other play would be considered an unforced error.

TE not getting proper depth on the play where he was tackled as he caught the ball, 6 inches short of the goal line.   That would be another.

We need to win 2 of next 4 cause Dallas schedule a joke

True, I missed the no timeouts part. Another lovely DeSigh orchestrated defensive face plant that almost cost us the game. I long for the days when our pass defense was actually good.

Counterpoint is that they threw a bomb on the 3rd and 3, where a shove setup might have been warranted.

I agree...  that was not smart 'turtling'.  That was YOLO style.   Throw a higher percentage pass if you are going to throw.  Ensure that the clock keeps moving even if stopped short.    For a team that 'supposedly' focuses on situational football, they've played pretty dumb situationally at the end of games.

Can we rename the tush push "America’s play” to stick it to Dallas even more?

The Cowboys still play Eagles, Bills, Dolphins & Lions

Just seen the ending of the game. Oh man, why did Dak not throw it into the end zone?  Like why did Dak step out of bounds and jump over the D.

There were 8 Eagles in the end zone.

So went back to check it out on the season the eagles have scored 252 points and given up 195. In the first 3 quarters they are outscoring their opponents 192-125 (+67).  In the 4th quarter they are being outscored 70-60 (-10).

Dallas also dropped a third-down pass that would have been a first down. I can’t remember if they kicked a FG or punted. I think it was a FG. I remember being very relieved when they kicked.

It was a field goal cause i commented at least they held them to a fg. And someone was like only cause they dropped the ball and i said I’d take it lol

I thought not kicking a FG when it was 28-17 early in the 4th was an unforced error by Dallas. Instead, they went for it and came away with no points. Also, Dak stepping out of bounds to me was an unforced error. Those 5 points lost the game for the Cowgirls.

But if they kick the FG... the Eagles change their play calling, they don't start at the 6 inch line... lots of variables change, so its not so simple as that's why they lost.  It would have changed things, and that changes the entire way the Eagles play.  Frankly, it might have helped the Eagles offense, as they would have been more focused on moving the ball into scoring range than killing the clock.

We have benefitted a great deal from drops this year.

And Washington twice, who played us hard and blew Dallas out last year

Eagles have given up 771 yards passing the last 2 games, yet the defense somehow saves the day.

Side note. PE.com just became much more useless. You can no longer access any game stats or gamebook unless you have NFL+. They used to have a game menu with a whole selection of things about the game. The only thing you can access now from that menu is the roster. For the fans!

I have NFL+ but I don’t log on for PE.com and have no issue accessing the game book.

Their best DL are gone now.

Someone else said the same thing. It's there for me now, but wasn't available last night. Strange.

Dallas isn't going to run the table.  They usually bring their best against the Eagles.  They are still very capable of laying eggs against bad/mediocre competition.  I'd go as far to say it's expected of them.  Their ceiling is 12-5.  Probably 11-6

They also lost to Arizona though, them losing one of those wouldnt surprise me a bit

Besides the 3rd and 8 run on the last series that i didn’t like (would’ve liked a play action bootleg with aj brown coming across with hurts rolling giving him the option to throw to aj if he was open or just run and it still burns Dallas timeout; maybe you also get Dallas selling out for swift carry) the series after stopping Dallas at the 1. That was a massive stop. The momentum from that stop was all in your favor. I get on first down trying to get out of the shadows of your own goal post. But I felt like the next two plays were conservative. You have one of the best offensive lines in the league, you have a top 3 quarterback and you have arguably the best or one of the best playmakers in the NFL right now. I want to be aggressive. Dallas hadn’t stopped you that entire half. Go for the kill and put them out of their misery. And frankly the fact that they went three and out as quick as they did, felt like it took the wind went out of their sail, and they could never get an offensive rhythm back.

Second down shot is fairly predictable but a better plan
