With training camp not open to the public, I'm wondering how anyone can honestly determine whether a team's punter did or did not have a good camp. There's no way to know. Even during team drills, a punter may have been told to directionally punt a ball to a certain part of the field because they want to look at something specific in the coverage or return game, so a viewer might see something that they deem inadequate while the punter did exactly as he was told.

Replacement isn't the only option.

It's a fail in operation to have a known weak spot going into the offseason and then have the same player in that weak spot have a bad camp but still have no option to replace him.  Listen the offense could be good enough that they won't punt a ton or maybe Siposs will be ok but it's a fail.  Again I think the team is very good and many other good moves were made just talking specifically about punter

Lots of good moves with this team do don’t want to be too negative when I say this but it’s pretty big fail to go into the season with Siposs especially after a below average camp

The Eagles are considerably more talented than the Patriots, they shouldn't lose this game unless they lose the turnover battle and/or I don't know.. have a punt blocked for a TD or a punt return TD to turn the momentum or something. Punter isn't that important, but even lesser important areas of your team always seem to show their ugly face at the worst possible times.

If you look at their ST there are huge red flags: losing Bradley, Macpherson and Wallace and then only having 3 LBs and 4 S on roster which are typically your best ST spots. Beyond that I'm not even sure you can afford to play Dean on ST. So when you  add that to the punter I think it's fair to be worried.  Hopefully they just don't have to punt much

Well yea it’s still possible he’s replaced with Mann in next 48 hours tho at this point whoever they get will be someone 31 other teams decided was less desirable than their punter

Arguments like this are so lazy. Value on the margins exists. 30 other teams decided Jake Elliott wasn't good enough pick up on waivers.

How did this guy use to beat us every time?

There's a big difference between an unproven rookie who doesn't have a track record and a vet with a bad track record especially at punter.  I think it's pretty obvious to say no team thinks Siposs is an upgrade over their current punter and I'm pretty sure the eagles would hop on others teams starting punters if cut

Younger fans will not understand the pain of facing our former NFCE rivals.

Prime wants to mentor these young men and i admire that about him.

i hate people that try to make it about his race. Dude if a HoF nfl player. And anyone that wins will have their personality applauded, whether they are Prime or dull as hell.

Out of curiosity... who is making it about his race?  I've yet to see anything that would suggest that.

Eagles 13-4

10-7. We hit some bad injuries + tough schedule to sneak into the playoffs. We then win 3 road playoff games on the way to a SB.

You have assessed that it is a weak spot.  Do you know whether Howie or Nick believe it is a weak spot?  In a word ... No ... you don't.  You are setting yourself up a prosecutor, judge, and jury.  If Siposs is ookay, then it is NOT at fail.  It is simply continuation of the current value proposition.  It would be a fail if the value proposition decreases in value ... or there is an alternative out there that is better value dollar for dollar, skill for skill, outcome for outcome.

Because in their mind, what he does in camp doesn't matter.  One of the Siposs hate group has already stated, literally, anyone but Siposs... but when they brought in "anyone", he didn't win the job.  Now, they've brought in multiple punters for workouts, and no signing yet.  It's almost like the Eagles have a higher bar for what it would take to replace Siposs.   It will be Tatergeddon when they elevate Siposs to the roster in a couple weeks because they can't elevate him more than a few times.

Did you see the Utah - Florida game.  it was shown on my American Airlines flight from Charlotte to Sacramento.  Some interesting players in that game.

What a stand by FSU after the BS flag.

Well...  that's a great place for lots of bad ideas to flourish, but that doesn't make it main stream or even relevant.

Good for GJ. Good for Prime.  Two different stories. I know Prime is polarizing but in college football if you're a coach and make yourself a draw in the recruiting process then it's smart. College football is definitely not all about coaching on the field

Yep, recruiting is at least half the battle, if not more. You can get by on just being a motivational presence in the locker room and have a bunch of 4 and 5 star recruits.
