Bold call time -- it's on the board that Dallas' season falls apart after this game. They played as well as they can and came up short against a banged up team playing at best a B- game. More specifically -- we TRIED to hand this game more than once, and they couldn't take it. Listening to them and all the talking heads afterwards, and they're basically acting like they won. They won't actually lose to the Giants next week, but they're going to come out flat. Dallas is most vulnerable when they are feeling themselves, and they are basically acting like they won the game.

At some point it's going to sink in that they blew their season because they couldn't take a game we were handing to them.

Dallas has an easy next 2 games.  I can't see them losing to either the Giants or Carolina. The Commanders will have a potential shot at getting to .500 or being just over .500 when they play the Cowboys.  If the Commanders win, I think the Cowboys may not even be a wild card team.

If that's true then I truly don't understand why he hasn't played all season

I think they trust Gainwell and Swift more, although Swift's fumbling might change that thought process.  Penny was basically Boston Scott for this game -- KR, with a couple of carries mixed in.  I think he'll get a few more carries vs KC (unless Scott takes that role back)

It's frustrating, his first carry was with hurts under center just a simple zone run and Penny hit the hole for about 7 yards, then his next carry they run shotgun inside zone and he only gets a couple then we never see him again .

Penny isn't a line up in shotgun take a handoff standing still type of runner.

He's a down hill stick your foot in the ground and go, yet the eagles don't want to use him like that where as of that's the case why even sign him if he doesn't fit what you do on offense???

BJ IMHO has no clue how to use his players to the best of their abilities, he's square pegging penny.

If he doesn't want to line up under center to get penny that he full head of steam to the hand off then line him up in pistol which accomplished the same thing And dues t deviate much from regular shotgun formation.

Personally Iike pistol more anyway as it doesn't give the D a cur as to which direction the Run is going.

Maybe they work on it on the bye and we see Penny getting a few more carries out of pistol or from under center where they could also roll hurts out on it.

Having said that the play where swift came in motion and got the ball with Gainwell leading In front was I think the first time they've run a jet sweep all year.

Good play design with swift running it and great block by Kenny G who also on Kenny gs TD was the hardest I've seen him run all year, where's that juice been all year?🤔

Your assessment of Penny is correct.  More importantly though, you let your gimpy QB hand the ball off in shotgun rather than from under center.

The shotgun ROs are a bit tougher for bigger backs as they typically don't have the quick burst to accelerate to the hole (they rather build momentum via conventional handoff).  That said, a hobbled QB probably doesn't mind skipping 5-7 step drops and staying shotgun.

Yup, like I said I think pistol would alleviate both those issues, give penny a run up to the hand off And wouldn't require hurts to take a 5-7 step drop or roll out.

Yup or just go pistol.

Penny is 27. It's old for a RB but the way some people are talking about him you'd think he's 48. He doesn't need to work on cardio or conditioning. And saving him for what? Yesterday was a massive game for not only the division, but for HFA and the #1 seed in the NFC. If he was some ace up the sleeve they would have used him in the 4th quarter yesterday when they were trying to run the ball and failing with multiple 3 and outs.

I think he settled down as the game went on, better in pass protection than run - obviously better at handing the DTs than Mike Parson.  Good he got some experience - but he didn't challenge Jurgens IMO.

For sure.  He isn't your starting RG this year but he looked like a pretty good candidate for next year assuming Kelce retires.

Everyone (rightfully) calls out our next 5 games, but they have a brutal closing stretch after Thanksgiving. Seattle, Philadelphia, @ Bufflao, @ Miami, Detroit, @ Washington. That has 3-3 written all over it.

And no one thought they would lose to the Cardinals. I could see them coming out flat but beating the Giants and then somehow losing to the Panthers.

It's clear the coaches don't trust him. I'd really like to see him, or Scott, get carries in the 4 minute offense with Hurts under center. We aren't using the RPO, and I just don't like Swift in those situations (ball security). Hurts under center, run behind Mailata and Dickerson.

Well they lost all value on penny once they took him out of the box

This made me chuckle

would love to hear an official report on that injury.

Intrigued to see how Albert O steps in. I think Stoll keeps his role and Albert takes Goedert's role, no? He's made some nice plays in his career

Saving Scott for the Giants, no worries. 😄 One problem with Penny is that he's kind of like a one tricked pony when he enters the game. Not a threat as a receiver or to break one. But could prolly get ya to 4th and 1 when holding a lead in the 4th Q. There's definitely a Jordan Howard spot for this guy at some point.

So whats the deal with Penny? He only had 2 carries, but he showed some juice.

Speaking of which, I'm wondering if there has ever been another Eagles player who became such a fan favorite without actually having done anything?

It's dime if there are 6db's.  I think they like Cunningham because of his reach.  I actually didn't think he played poorly.  Ricks got killed inside against Lamb.

It’s semantics. Sometimes safeties play linebacker in certain alignments. Malcolm Jenkins was technically a safety but he played a ton of LB.

I don't think it's really being a fan favorite. Why have him on the roster if you aren't going to use him for 8 weeks

Cowboys fans are acting like the Eagles will lose out and they will win their next nine. The thing Skip and the other Cowboy fan trolls aren't talking about is that was Dak's best game. The 49ers played their best game against them and have leveled off since. I see the same happening for Dak...while the Eagles are still trying to figure crap out across the board. They are 8-1 and still have yet to play their best game. Maybe they never figure it out because they have a ton to get right, but that potential is there.
