Thanks. I looked it up last night before I went to bed. What I found most interesting is that of the Eagles five best offensive games last year (Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Tennessee, at Giants), three of them (the last three listed) were without Goedert. That means that the Eagles offense absolutely hummed in 60% of the non-Goedert games. They didn't fall apart without him by any stretch of the imagination.

Obviously it's not ideal that he's going to miss time, especially during this upcoming difficult stretch. But based on what happened last year, we should still be able to function, albeit in perhaps a slightly different manner. It's a different equation than if you're losing Lane Johnson. That's when the wheels historically do start to fall off.

Something to discuss.  First half grades.

The OL gets no better than a C. They are giving up too many pressures and hits and, unlike in years past, cannot run to close out games any more.

Maybe C for their own standards but also part of it is on the coaching. Without Hurts being a real running threat at the moment they need to adapt their run scheme but really their only solution so far is to pass more.

I agree with jr.  Arent they giving up like the 3rd most pressures of any tean?

Thats not acceptable for how highly touted the OL is

What did the running game look like in those games?

Goedert is a much better run blocker than Albert O, which is where I think there could be a drop off.

I didn't see it mentioned, but did anyone else see the clip of the ref getting a little too friendly with Byard?

Not sure if serious...

The DB grabbed goederts arm in an MMA style arm bar, twisted then landed on it

It was dirty as hell and warrants a suspension but the league won't do anything about it because they're too busy handing out penalties to guys that land on a QB with more than 55% of their weight ...😒

This is two years in a row now that goedert has missed games after a cheap shot.

Whiteside is still on the team?

Yeah it was posted on here yesterday, funny and weird.

I wonder what the ref whispered to him🤔

This was one of the best Defensive Plays of the game.  Shout to BG.

Dak knew who was chasing him... he didn't want any parts of that hit lmao

Trying to tackle somebody while getting stiff armed in the face is one of the hardest things to do. You lose your vision, focus, and have to just go by feel pretty much. I find it hard to blame the defender here, it's already a huge ask to bring down Goedert in space, but then to do it while your head is forceably turned away makes it almost impossible. I really hate the result, but I don't think it was an intentionally dirty play or anything. I think it's similar to the hip drop tackle issue, it's going to be hard to legislate some of this stuff out of the game. It's a violent sport, and sometimes that violence will result in injuries.

Can't say it was intentional because I don't read minds but that was an excellent arm bar take down MMA style. Wonder if he had some training because that looked almost text book. I knew when Goedert landed that thing was broke.

There is absolutely no chance he'll get suspended for that tackle. It's in the open field on a TE who initiates contact. Maybe, MAYBE, the competition committee looks at this in the offseason but as of right now, it's a perfectly legal tackle. This is a crazy take.

Nah but one was probably the empty back field QB up the gut only to be used on 3rd and longs in the red zone.

Yep. And don't think for a minute they're not trying to hurt each other out there. That's the game at this level.

Goedert should have just stepped out of bounds, he had no angle and wasnt going to gain more yardage.  Usually I dont like players stepping out but in no reality was he going to break that tackle and keep running
