Think of all those times that the runner’s knee is down but he falls forward into an area of a TD or first down. Or is Simms proposing this only for pass catches?  Simms is borderline stupid.  Failed in the NFL and fails as an analyst.

Borderline? 🤨

Just my opinion, but I feel like the locker room stuff is overblown. When things were going good there were stories about bible study groups or receivers spending time with him during the offseason. Even when he was benched and Hurts was the starter in 2020, the leaders of the team like Cox were liking tweets about Carson over Hurts. Kelce also said something at the time that Carson was his QB. When he was dumped by Irsay, Jonathan Taylor, Quentin Nelson and Darius Leonard all publicly supported him on twitter. I'm sure there were groups of players that may have felt differently about him which franchise QB's need to navigate to be successful, and Carson likely failed in doing so, but I don't think he was hated by the majority of his teammates.

Maybe in a few years we will get a Netflix doc or an ESPN 30 for 30 on Wentz so we can find out what really happened to him, especially behind the scenes.

When Taylor was in philly, apparently DeSean taught her some gang signs, and she is now a member of the bloods.

May be an image of 2 people and text

Why does it look like those hands are printed on her shirt, and she doesn't actually have any

Yup, I grew up in Utah right in the benches of the mountains, and the news or radio would announce that there was a cougar in the area and if we had any small pets to bring them inside

Animal control, or forest service will come and tranq them tag em and take em far away

They have huge territories and the farther humans build and invade those territories the more interactions humans will have with those big beautiful cats.

They caught one 3 houses down from my house growing up, tranqed it in my neighbors backyard yard.

Not sure why anyone would ever hunt them or kill them they're beautiful animals and they help regulate the deer population as well.

Getting closer and closer to getting back to Pennsylvania.  Maybe a Nittany Lion in my lifetime.

I would've thought it was crazy at the time, but in hindsight, it actually would've been the better move.

It would have been amazing. Many teams would have given like 3 first rounders at least. But well, Howie managed to rebuild everything after that mess, we're lucky.

They are purposely misundertanding the concepts.  You're right.  It's 2 different things.  There is what is needed for a catch and there is a determination of when a player is down.  There are 3 elements of a catch: a) securing the ball, b) coming down in bounds (e.g. 2 feet); and (c) a football move or surviving the ground.  A player is down when any part of his body other than his hands or feet touch the ground and is contacted by an opponent.  They are 2 different rules regarding 2 different things.  I don't think Florio is that obtuse.

I think Florio is as obtuse as he believes is necessary to generate clicks.

Fryar was good but not HOF level good. Harold and TO are already in the Hall and Quick was as good as them but had his career cut short because of injuries. So to me, Fryar is a clear level below those three.

As you suggest, Fryar played in far more games than Quick but Fryar's career stats are impressive (see them below).  I checked the HOF WRs and Fryar's stats are pretty competitive with that group for what it is worth.

To be clear, I'd put Quick ahead of Fryar and the big knock on Fryar in our list is that he only played three years.

Quick - 363 receptions, 6464 yards, and 61 tds

Fryar -  851 receptions, 12785 yards, and 84 tds

Quick at his best was better than Fryar at his best.

Quick 6 at his best was a HOF WR.

He's the best WR imo that the eagles have ever had, AJ Brown may surpass him but not quite yet.

Not surprisingly (for those who were fans of the team back then) the Eagles drafting Quick was not their top plan.   They wanted Perry Tuttle, who was drafted 1 spot before they were on the clock.   Thanks Buffalo!

Must be bored of COD

Yup. 1982 That was before I was watching football but I remember the story.

Then in 1984 they took Kenny Jackson with the 4th pick...☹️

I didn't think you were.  I was just pumping up Mike Quick.  Watching him run made me a fan even before Randall.

Tells me two things: 1. Rypien was atrocious vs. Gb. 2. Stafford’s i just might keep him out longer then they might have initially thought at the time he got hurt.

They waived the other guy Wynn, also. So it's just Wentz and Stafford right now I believe. I don't think they would do all that if Stafford was seriously hurt.

Just realized that Wentz is now on the team that likely ruined his career. Poor guy.
