As you suggest, Fryar played in far more games than Quick but Fryar's career stats are impressive (see them below).  I checked the HOF WRs and Fryar's stats are pretty competitive with that group for what it is worth.

To be clear, I'd put Quick ahead of Fryar and the big knock on Fryar in our list is that he only played three years.

Quick - 363 receptions, 6464 yards, and 61 tds

Fryar -  851 receptions, 12785 yards, and 84 tds

Fryar had a weird career, drafted number one over all makes a pro bowl as a returner with the Pats where he spends first half of his career with some really horrible teams and QBs, goes to the dolphins where he's a 1000 yard guy with Marino, after a few years they let him go as at this point he's like 33 years old?

Then he goes onto be the eagles leading WR makes 2 pro bowls with peete and Detmer throwing to him🤷‍♂️ then finishes his career with Washington rides off into the sunset on a Harley that Jeffrey Lurie gave him right into a jail cell with his mom😳

Weird stuff for sure, helluva player for the eagles though.

Will be opening the second half blog over the weekend.

For the new blog - can we get cruise control and power steering?

And one of those scented trees you hang on the mirror...

Good for Carson finding another spot.   He's still young, with all the QB drama, I'm shocked he hadn't gotten a call until now.  I'm not saying his last two stops were good because they obviously didn't turn out great.  But that doesn't mean he can't still be productive.

I didn't think you were.  I was just pumping up Mike Quick.  Watching him run made me a fan even before Randall.

What surprises me most about that clip is that the Eagles were 5-5 at that point. Because they were pretty bad in those years.

Did they deactivate his x box the same day?

They must have done There is no way he'd willingly give up console time to play in that team

So weird...I was wondering a few minutes ago if he ever signed anywhere. Sure enough I found he signed with the Rams today.

Season over apparently

The Cowboys signed Martavis Bryant, lol

As is often the case you cup is defined by emptiness terms rather than fullness … and hyperbole is also in evidence.  In nine games we have started eight different DB combinations.  That doesn’t leave much room for chemistry to build, or even simple cohesion.

When the stats suggest it’s the worst past defense in the league, hyperbole isn’t out of line.

They waived the other guy Wynn, also. So it's just Wentz and Stafford right now I believe. I don't think they would do all that if Stafford was seriously hurt.

I figured one of them is gonna wind up being back on their practice squad and be the third quarterback that they have. Where they can elevate him, or just use them as the third quarterback with the new rule.

let me rephrase what I said prior, I think there’s a chance in the Rams mind that Matt Stafford comes back after the bye week, and that thumb just doesn’t allow him to be as effective as they initially thought when that injury occurred. And they realized there’s no way if they’re going to try to make a playoff run that they could survive with  Rypien. Hence why I said, I think it might be worse than what they originally thought and that’s why they wanted to go with Carson instead of sitting around thinking well he’ll just be fine when he comes back.

Maybe. I'm pretty sure you have to be on the actual full time 53 to be eligible under the 3rd QB rule. I remember there was some confusion at the time with the wording but I don't think I've seen anyone get elevated to be the emergency 3rd QB.

I'd still be kinda surprised if they were unsure with Stafford that they would risk someone putting in a waiver claim for the other guys and be left with just Wentz as the only healthy QB. I didn't realize they were on a bye this week though, so who knows what happens between now and next game.

I think Rypien after he looked the way he did against Gb this weekend was more of a sure thing to make it through waivers and not worth a roster spot on active roster. I had that game out here, that offense was about as inept as Wilson and the jets with Rypien. I think this is more if Stafford plays after the bye and that thumb gets banged up more or he’s just not able to grip it and throw it at the level they need then they have Carson wentz in the fold with 2 weeks learning the playbook. talent has never been the issue with Carson. It’s between the ears and assuming with mcvay they’d at least be closer to competent then with anyone they currently had on the roster. And who knows what’s going on with stenson Bennett.

but besides that we’ve gone from rams drafting Goff no. 1 over and us taking wentz at 2. Go now goff in Detroit and now Carson on the rams team. Lol

Just realized that Wentz is now on the team that likely ruined his career. Poor guy.

Also team that took Goff 1 and we went wentz. Now goff is in Detroit and wentz is with the rams.

He's a Cowboys fan that doesn't bother me and several of the ones I know personally like to bust balls, but they're knowledgeable and good fans.

That said F Dallas and their fans

Wentz having a Foles-esque career bouncing around as a backup from here on out only to land in the perfect spot with the perfect opportunity down the road would be the poetic ending for him.

Yeah, I've seen a few of his videos over the years and enjoyed the ones that I've seen.

This could have been a decent run if Steen and Johnson don’t topple over like bowling pins

Mailata/Dickerson have been excellent run-blockers all season, but Kelce/RG/Johnson off the bum ankle are struggling. Getting Jurgens back + Lane getting healthier should help.

On the run play, it's also 7 against 6 because Jalen can't run. That's also a problem with all these shotgun runs.
