If I'm reading this right, their model virtually guarantees the chiefs will win the SB and everyone else has a near zero chance.

Edit: Well, I just looked at the date and its from 2020...

Well I suck - that is what I get for not reading any deeper. ;)

Also looks like Jurgens coming back but possibly not starting at RG if they think Steen is ready.  With Good-Jones gone, there is less cushion at C.  We’ll see.

What makes you think that they are looking to put Steen in over Jurgens?  I haven't studied Steen's play closely in this game, but he still seems to be behind Jurgens.

Meanwhile, I expect the Eagles will be putting a call out to Josh Andrews any day now to get him on the PS to replace Good-Jones.  I don't see them wanting to play any other combination for the OL than their 5 best for this stretch.

Toronto GM is hard to deal with and will want a boatload and all of our picks. Hate to give up our new found depth. I rather try to get him as a free agent in the offseason. But yeah, they can definitely use a stopper like that.

I don't think it will happen but I want OG this season.  Would make a huge difference in the playoffs.  And Joel turns 30 this season with a long track record of injuries.

Steen and Dean are not better than Jurgens and Morrow.

Didn’t say anything about either being better.  Just wondering about Dean’s injury. The back up LBs are Ellis and VanSumerin if Dean is out.  Which of those do you prefer to Dean?

My comment about Jurgens centered on the losing of Good-Jones.  Back up Cs are both playing G if Jurgens goes back to the starting lineup.  Plan has always been for Steen to be the RG so a lot depends on how close to ready for that role the Eagles feel Steen is.  Note the Jurgens injury was to the foot.  Needs to be well healed to put him in, IMHO.  Thus a ponder on Steen is relevant.

That's one way to get clicks, views, and mentions lol

The Princess Diana jacket. Expected to cost $400 though, way overpriced.

In Stoutland I trust.

See my reply to JSB.  Comes down to Jurgen’s foot and rustiness and, not how we grade Steen (who we haven’t seen in practice or in the OL room), but how close to ready to take on RG and get experience the Eagles think he is. He is the ultimate projected starting RG for the team after all.

Is Josh Andrews available?  At 32 and about to retire, did his play this summer warrant him as a PS signee?  Eagles know more about who is available for potential OL signees.  Last year around this time is when they brought in F Johnson, for example.  I wonder if there are any players out there they have an eye on.

Me too.  Hence my ponder about what PS OL they might pursue after losing Good-Jones.

Ideally, you don't want to flip and flop OL all over the place, but I think the plan should always be to play the best 5 man unit on the field at all times, and never hold back a player because of a possible injury.   Sure, it would suck to lose Kelce and then have to play a little bit of musical chairs along the OL, but I'd much rather they do that than sit Jurgens if he's playing RG better than Steen because of a chance for that to happen.   Play your best 5 and let the chips fall where they may in case of injury.

As far as I know, Andrews is still sitting out there as a free agent.  And his play this summer warrants bringing him in as an emergency C.  He'd only be with the team at all in case of a catastrophic scenario and wouldn't even be activated on game day, but be with the team in case of losing other centers along the way.  Good-Jones was never active on game day anyway, which means that the in-game plan was to play musical chairs if necessary, even with Jurgens on IR.  I don't see why they would change that plan unless Steen was clearly playing better than Jurgens at RG.  And I just didn't see that, but like I said before, I didn't get a chance to really study it either.   Stout undoubtedly did.  Steen was definitely 'good enough', and we heard praise from Johnson to that effect, but I do wonder how much of a curve Johnson was grading him on.  And he wasn't going to throw the kid under the bus to the press anyway, so its hard to know how much of that to take on face value.

My brother and I laminated that photo and wore it around our necks when we traveled to games playing our Eagle Bothers songs in opposing teams parking lots.  People thought it was a field pass.

The only thing trading Wentz instead of letting Foles walk would do is speed up the rebuild process and we might not be where we are right now and might not have Hurts either.

The Eagles would have drafted Daniel Jones in the 2019 draft and we would be miserable now is probably the right answer.

If you want, a Nike elite Kelly green Jason Kelce jersey, the pro shop at the linc has it. I suggest buying it now, because if he retires at the end of the year, there will not be another time you’re going to be able to acquire it or secondary market will Jack up the price. And I’m not sure Fanatics or dick sports or any of these other places are going to get any of the elite versions of this jersey considering we’re all the way in November and they haven’t

I swear, our Philly teams are the best at breaking streaks or setting other obscure records.

Need to win for the first time under a certain temperature. Come to Philly. Need to make a franchise or league record field goal? Play against Philly. Need to break a losing streak? Don't worry, we'll let you win. It goes on and on.

Interested to see what they do against the Celtics. Nurse seems to have unlocked some defense and some grit with this current line up. Thinking they just need a few more role players and let JoJo and Tyrese eat. I wouldn't mind Marcus Smart in the back court instead of Melton though.

I think they are asking for too much out of Melton, as he's miscast as a ball handler and doing point guard duties, as they have no one else, besides Beverly and Furk. And those 2 should not be in a championship rotation. They need another ball handling creator to eat up some minutes off the bench and Melton can be restricted to 3& D, which he's pretty good at, though very streaky. Wish Springer could be that guy, but he just can't create for himself much.

He'll miss more time than Goedert(if Goedert even misses time, not sure he will just yet).

I guess we’re finding out why dean slipped to the third round and no one wanted him

Dean likely to IR

Don't think they will miss Dean unless there's an injury. Howie needs to add depth on PS with vets this next week. I'd shoot for DL, Slot CB & LB for starters.

Welp. It’s now to the point where we can’t reasonably count on Dean to be a starter. Not that we could anyway.

We're better with Morrow and Cunningham on the field anyway.

I'd like to see this on passing downs, definitely 3rd and long: 1 LB (Morrow), 3 CB (Slay, JB and Roby) and 3 S (Reed, Byard, Evans/Brown).

I'm not ready to give up on Dean yet. He was so damn good in college and the knock on him in the NFL so far aside from the injuries is that he "looks slow" which wasn't an issue at all in college, the concerns were his size, which actually hasn't been an issue at the NFL level so far, oddly. It's hard to evaluate him when he gets injuries to his feet and then looks slow, and doesn't get a chance to develop on the field.

That said, they definitely need an upgrade or insurance at the position in the offseason at the very least, and probably should've picked up depth at the deadline.

Depending on how bad it is could hinder him into next year. What happened with jalen mills. I’m guessing it’s not as severe as mills’

Glad no one picked up Morrow after he was cut. Never understood that cut. Dodged a bullet there. Let's get more Sidney Brown as Pseudo LB.
