I swear, our Philly teams are the best at breaking streaks or setting other obscure records.

Need to win for the first time under a certain temperature. Come to Philly. Need to make a franchise or league record field goal? Play against Philly. Need to break a losing streak? Don't worry, we'll let you win. It goes on and on.

Need a win to become the all-time leader in NFL wins by a HC... with a QB nobody has ever heard to lead the team for a come from behind victory?   Come to Philly.  Then we'll hire that nobody QB to be our HC... and he'll win us a Super Bowl!

Just now, Sack that QB said:

I'm not ready to give up on Dean yet. He was so damn good in college and the knock on him in the NFL so far aside from the injuries is that he "looks slow" which wasn't an issue at all in college, the concerns were his size, which actually hasn't been an issue at the NFL level so far, oddly. It's hard to evaluate him when he gets injuries to his feet and then looks slow, and doesn't get a chance to develop on the field.

That said, they definitely need an upgrade or insurance at the position in the offseason at the very least, and probably should've picked up depth at the deadline.

I applaud your optimism with Dean but I'm just not seeing it with him. He's 215 snaps in to his 2-year NFL career and hasn't really shown or flashed much of anything outside of the Titans game last year. He was a tremendous college player but so was Scott Frost. Some guys are just built for the college game. My guess is with the Lis Franc that it's a season ender. The Eagles will be starting from square 1 at LB again next year.

Nakobe Dean is the only LB signed after this season. Cunningham and Morrow are 1-year rentals. Are they going to be in a rush to bring back Christian Ellis and his 45 snaps or Shaun Bradley coming off an Achilles injury? Dean should be looked at as depth only. They need to invest in LB in a bad way.

If you want, a Nike elite Kelly green Jason Kelce jersey, the pro shop at the linc has it. I suggest buying it now, because if he retires at the end of the year, there will not be another time you’re going to be able to acquire it or secondary market will Jack up the price. And I’m not sure Fanatics or dick sports or any of these other places are going to get any of the elite versions of this jersey considering we’re all the way in November and they haven’t

So what you're saying is Ronde Barber is going to be a key part of the Eagles organization at some point down the road!

Jabril Cox was on the Commies PS until last week.  Now on the active roster.

He's a player I loved in the draft. Man, didn't realize he was down in DC.

I was just going to mention him.  Who else is out there for LB's on Practice Squads?  Is Jeremiah Moon an option?

I don't consider "There isn't a large enough sample to draw conclusions yet" optimism. It's more ambivalence than anything. I don't think the sample size is nearly large enough to know much of anything about him. Especially considering he's been hurt. As far as I'm concerned last season doesn't even count, he hardly played in any games at all. This season we don't even have 5 games of him as a sample. He didn't even play the full game against the Pats or Cowboys, so we really only have 3 full games of a sample with him.

What a waste of a pick Dean was

Dean has been solid against the run.  He's not blowing up o-linemen but he gets to the runner.  He's got a good nose for the football.  My concern isn't his ability but his fragility.  He just hasn't been able to keep himself on the field.  I do think they need to invest more draft picks in the position next season but I don't think they are going to pay a high price for the position.  They just don't value it.

Bring in Brevin Allen.  He can room with Devon Allen

I'm honestly surprised they gave up on Kyron Johnson. Not to sound like RR, but he's got freakish athletic ability and at the very least I thought he would be a key ST player when they drafted him.

He'll be penciled in for next year with a vet, and hopefully a draftee with coverage ability in the wings.

Does Rashaan Evans have anything to offer? It's a name.

EDIT: LOL, guess he was here for a second and blows in pass coverage

I don’t think he falls to us in the second round in the draft but would love to have trotter’s kid here

He might make it to the Saints second if they pick up some losses.

Rookie as in their first year in the NFL or their first year starting (but had been rostered on an NFL team prior?) Seems like that's a lot of rookie QBs to all be starting this week. Would like to see the list.

Off the top of my head, Stroud, Richardson, Young, Levis, O'Connell... then who else?

84.9  pff

8th / 81 LB

Nick Morrow is doing well.  He's the one who is supposed to be good at coverage,  like covering TEs.

Cunningham is a little bit above average,  and Dean is below average.

I'd like to see VanSumeren in there.  Nolan Smith as well, but they want him waiting behind Reddick for a long time.

People go "oh it's just so impossible to find any player who can cover a TE.  All the options are either quick/fast enough but too small or big enough, but not fast enough."   But the Eagles do have 2 players - Nolan Smith and VanSumeren who do have the excellent excellent size AND speed to cover a TE.   They might not have the experience at this point.  In Nolan Smiths case,  they want him to be a 238 pound Dliner and make a lot of sacks.  In VanSumerens case,  he was a ILB,  off ball LB in college,  raw, but he does play that position,  and is very fast and very strong for a ILB.  So, if there is a gap that needs filled, those 2 guys might be able to do that, or one of the 2,  maybe.

How dare you forget Tommy DeVito?
