Just realized we have Brandon Smith on our PS. A lot of people on here liked him in the draft.

28 teams playing. Here are the ones with rookie QBs playing I think:

CAR - Young, CHI - Bagent, HOU - Stroud, TEN - Levis, AZ - Tune (unless Kyler plays), NYG - DeVito, LV - O'Connell. So I count 7, or 25%.

Mykal Walker would be my choice if we poached someone off a PS. My guess is we roll with what we got.

If it's 10 total this year, the 7 I listed plus Richardson, Jaren Hall, and was Rypien a rookie?

He’s basically a rookie.

I'm honestly surprised they gave up on Kyron Johnson. Not to sound like RR, but he's got freakish athletic ability and at the very least I thought he would be a key ST player when they drafted him.

yay, me

Yeah that's what it's gotta be. Not 10 this week, but 10 that have started at least a game at any point this season. The tweet is wrong.

He might make it to the Saints second if they pick up some losses.

Honestly kind of assume the saints win that crap division cause the two stooges of Arthur smith and Todd Bowles and their schedule sets up for them too

What frustrates me about the Nakobe Dean pick is the Eagles were so limited with picks last year and he was their last pick before going nearly 3 rounds without a pick. I don't think teams were jumping at the chance to take him. 98 players were picked between Dean and their next pick, Kyron Johnson (no longer on the team).

These players all went between Dean and Johnson. Quite a few RB that could start here and TE who would easily be TE2 here and help ease the pain of Goedert and his 4 games missed per year. I thought Corral and Howell would have been perfect backups for Hurts. Now, not saying any of these players should have been taken at 83, while some could have, but the Eagles should have moved down knowing they were going almost 3 rounds without one.

QB- Malik Willis, Matt Corral, Sam Howell

RB- Rachaad White, Brian Robinson Jr., Dameon Pierce, Tyler Allgeier, Jerome Ford, Kyren Williams

TE- Cade Otten, Daniel Bellinger, Jake Ferguson, Isaiah Likely Chigoziem Okonkwo, Cole Turner, Teagan Quitoriano

CB- Marcus Jones

S- Kerby Jones

Ah. Dorian Thompson-Robinson instead of Rypien. Well, I got 9 of 10.

Dean has been solid against the run.  He's not blowing up o-linemen but he gets to the runner.  He's got a good nose for the football.  My concern isn't his ability but his fragility.  He just hasn't been able to keep himself on the field.  I do think they need to invest more draft picks in the position next season but I don't think they are going to pay a high price for the position.  They just don't value it.

Dean may not be physically enough to play MIKE in NFL.  In college, he would be physical enough to handle the job, particularly with Carter in front at DL.  He could have the instinct to find the ball, which would not be enough if he can tackle and bring down the carrier.

Dean's biggest problem is he can't stay on the field in the NFL so far. He's plenty physical enough.

Richardson has been shut down for the year already, for making Nakobe Dean look like Cal Ripken Jr.

I wonder if Dean is one of those injuries where you come back too early, the body isn't right and something worse happens as a consequence.

Does it make you more or less frustrated that Howie said they would have taken Nakobe Dean at #51, except that Cam Jurgens was still on the board?

What a waste of a pick Dean was

Sadly, Smith may not be far behind. I get he is young, needs time, etc, but with JP sitting there....

I'm possibly just tired of undersized speed guys picked in the first round named Smith we have to wait on, though.

The Steen whiff on an IZ.

That's him tripping over the yard line.

Interested to see what they do against the Celtics. Nurse seems to have unlocked some defense and some grit with this current line up. Thinking they just need a few more role players and let JoJo and Tyrese eat. I wouldn't mind Marcus Smart in the back court instead of Melton though.

Even if we play well and win tonight, Boston is a tough defensive match up for us in a series.  Tyrese and Embiid are going eat lot this season.  I believe Korkmaz is the PG for the Turkish National team.  Nurse is comfortable with him running the offense, but I'd like someone else as well.

Whiffs on Parson in pass pro.

Gotta move your feet. Parsons blows by him untouched.

I mean it's his first start, playing a new position, against one of the best fronts in the league. He wasn't Winston Justice vs the Giants.

Not all bad. He had seven OK-to-good blocks in pass pro in this possession and nice work on this OZ run by Gainwell. Lotta people blocked well on this play.470369898_2023-11-08(8).thumb.png.5e2c209d2f82d828a295b7c1117c1a31.png

Lane blocks his guy. Steen handles the DT as Kelce pulls around him.

Dickerson and Mailata control pursuit and Kelce nails the safety.

Gainwell gets the edge. Note the terrific block by Smith on the CB.

I don't think anyone is projecting him as a 1st round pick.  I imagine he's likely to available in the 2nd if not the 3rd.
