Blankenship came back into the game so he should play.

Really had people here blasting me a couple weeks back for saying Purdy was better than Geno.

I am a first year starting QB with insane stats. Who am I? threw for 27 TD:2 INT, 2,891 yards, an insane 9.1 yards per attempt, and a league-leading 119.2 passer rating.

I don’t even care about the stat, just watching live you could see he was struggling. He also had a few presnap penalties. Granted, Judon is a really good player and Mailata typically struggles against the bigger, powerful DE’s. Not the end of the world but not an ideal start either.

I re-watched the game last night. I mentioned it late last night that mailata and lane didn’t play particularly to the standard we had seen. I thought Dickerson played one of poorer games since he’s gotten here. I really want to watch the all 22 to see how the interior of the line look over the course of the game

The Eagles went into game 1 with only 1 starter at LB and one at S that they believed in and both got hurt

Blankenship finished the game.  I think he plays.

Probably but sometimes rib injuries are discovered to be tiny cracks after the fact. Not saying that's the case but who knows

Yep. He had many great ones over the years.

What point are you trying to make?

Maybe that was just his dinner order

That there is precedent for Purdy still having a lot to prove.

Man, I wanted him in the draft bad

Crossing Broad made it sound like maybe a bunch of the talent is getting together.  But honestly I don't care that much.  I like certain people but there's just so much media out there and most of it is either restating the obvious or click bait

I went out to the Ringer for the first time this weekend in order to read their articles.  Surprise!  No articles.

They won't ever be getting me as a reader of their work.

And Geno doesn't?  Or does being awful for 8 years until your 9th season where you have the one good season in your career for some reason mean that Geno in year 9 is who he is and all the years prior were just an 8 year phase?

Upon reflection and review of Jalen Carter, I almost think we should go with the old Seahawks strategy of jamming every WR at the LOS.

Carter was getting so much penetration and causing so much chaos, but the offense countered with quick passes. Seems like if we jammed the WRs we would have had half a dozen extra sacks.

I loved him as well. Really wish we could have added him to the draft haul.

Who needs preseason reps when you have joint practices

Just looking back at the 3rd round and there was some serious talent available at positions of need. Guys like  Darnell Washington, Drew Sanders, Kendre Miller, Tyjae Spears. Riley Moss, Tank Bigsby, Devon Achane and Byron Young (although too old) all could have been stellar picks so I'm hoping the Eagles nailed both of these picks. Eagles went back to back with Steen and Brown. I have high hopes for Sydney Brown but I'm not sure where Steens home is going to be yet. Generally when they have back to back picks, I prefer them to trade down and pick up more ammo. Of course that takes a trade partner so who knows.

Is it possible he's a natural left tackle and that allows Mailata to move to RT when Lane is done? He's 100% been more comfortable there to start his career. I also think Mailata might be better off playing RT. Finding a RG should be easier than a LT.

In the long run, I think Brown is going to be a very good safety and a fan favorite. Steen has potential but we'll see.

Team bonding?

Inability to tackle mainly caught my attention.  The very loose zone coverages called.  Rust.  Nothing not, curable.

I stopped paying attention there very early out of frustration.  The first few series they both looked horrid.
