The league should actually look at it and see if win margin should matter.  This is basketball, not soccer.

yep. seems even the refs didnt know the rules of the tournament. players and refs have no clue whats going on. NBA should definitely step in. I really thought he got it off.

Stupid tournament.  Stupid rules.  Not surprising a guy from Cameroon (where soccer is king) would be in tune with the weird (soccer-like) rules.    The in season tournament is a stupid thing to bring to the NBA.  Its dumb to change the way the court looks for those games... and even dumber still to incentivize pouring it on at the end.

In season tournament things like this make sense for HS basketball... where you play a tournament over the Christmas break and get a few extra games in for these kids.   Of course, they only play about 20-25 games or so.  Those kids need opportunities to play more... to put things on tape for colleges... to have FUN.   The NBA is 82.  Its a business.  And now you force teams to decide which 'championship' matters more to them... the fake one in the middle of the year, or the real one that's been a part of the league since it started.  

 

Do you play your top players for the whole game, even in a blowout, in these silly games (winning or losing) because of the point differential piece?  Or the total points scored?   Nah... its ridiculous.

We'll see. Maybe it will catch on over time. Clearly trying to spark more interest in the early of the season games which not many casual fans pay attention to. Going to probably F up the gamblers though lol.

PSU defensive assistant was just caught making a hilarious defensive play call on the sideline... What I can only describe as "snot swipe... double point left".   He was committed to it.    If you saw it, you know... if not...

My football brain has been scrambled by the NFL analytics.  PSU just punted on 4th and 6 inches from their own 34.75 yard line.  Makes no sense to me now.
