In season tournament things like this make sense for HS basketball... where you play a tournament over the Christmas break and get a few extra games in for these kids.   Of course, they only play about 20-25 games or so.  Those kids need opportunities to play more... to put things on tape for colleges... to have FUN.   The NBA is 82.  Its a business.  And now you force teams to decide which 'championship' matters more to them... the fake one in the middle of the year, or the real one that's been a part of the league since it started.  

 

Do you play your top players for the whole game, even in a blowout, in these silly games (winning or losing) because of the point differential piece?  Or the total points scored?   Nah... its ridiculous.

I don't mind the idea of a tournament although I think the timing and execution of it are awful.

Why play 4-5 games to start the season then start labeling a game an in season tourney game.  Then go back to playing just more regular season games.  Then a couple weeks later there's another random in season tourney game.

A tournament to me is continous.   They could do an in season tourney around all star break where it's 1 and done or something like that.  What they have now is messy and confusing and probably nobody will care.  

Its not like fans will be bragging about winning the NBA in season tourney.

Going for it on 4th and 6 in your own end with over 4 minutes and multiple timeouts remaining is NOT smart football.  Again, remembering they punted on 4th and 6 inches in the first half from the same spot.  

 

Bad QB play does not negate stupid HC decisions.

Not the most enthralling matchup ever but this Illinois/Indiana game has been pretty entertaining. At least there's been some offense in this one.

Firstly I know this is very unlikely to happen but as we don’t have a game this week, and it seems I can watch the giants and cowboys game tomorrow without sky sports I’d LOVE if the giants beat the cowboys. It would make my NFL year so far.

Washington - Utah game.   How many times will we see these morons drop the ball before crossing the goal line?    How hard is it to carry the ball OVER the goal line, and then celebrate?

 

 

His teammates picked him up and got a safety on the play.  BUT... how many times will we see these things where kids drop the ball before the goal line?  No excuse for that.
