At times like this, you get why Howie over invests in the trenches. The Jets couldn't block and now their season is over one drive in.

I say this acknowledging that we should try harder at LB.

 

Josh Allen is a bone head at QB. Has a chance to go out of bounds, but rather get tackled for another yard and veers back in play. Just don't see it with that guy with hero ball.

I also think AR held on to that ball way to long after seeing the play. He gets some of the blame.

Do they still do x-rays with an Achilles just out of precaution for additional injuries? I assume there's easy tests they do to tell them Achilles is torn. Or does it sound more like a bad sprain

I doubt they wouldn't have scanned both. I'm guessing Yates is just phrasing that poorly. 

He's just at the line so that'll stand.

Unless it is achilles. Theyd easily know on the field with the Thompson test. When you know its achilles, xray the ankle cause you x-ray everything and its usually available right at the stadium. MRI tomorrow will solidify the bad news. 

I think if they thought it was a foot injury, theyd have xrayd that and reported on it as well.

theoretically. But with a high ankle sprain you see the bones spread farther apart than theyre supposed to be. So you diagnose a high ankle sprain with xray.

A is normal. Tibia and fibula overlap. B is abnormal. You see space between the bones. Thats the high ankle sprain.
