Seeing Allen regress to such a capacity makes me think about the otherworldly leap Hurts made from 2021 to 2022 and makes me really intrigued to see if he can continue the upward trajectory or if there’s going to be some regression this season. Both guys who came into the league with glaring flaws and worked to improve their craft. Kinda similar trajectories. Hopefully Hurts has no regression. I think he has the work ethic and poise to avoid that.

They stopped doing it last year, had a double header week 2 instead (if you remember Eags Vikes was the late game)

this year there’s a double header week 2 AND 3

I started thinking about Wentz a little bit when he had that 4th turnover. That was his comp coming outta college.

Not the exact same career trajectory, but he has occasionally had Wentzisms recently

I mean, he's a ref. The ref analyzes it from a penalty perspective. That's what they hired him to do. When the booth goes to him what do people expect him to say? "Great win for the Jets!"???

I was watching the manning cast. What play did he say that about? The Diggs OPI?

Tom Brady needs to unretire and play for the Jets. I need this in my life.

He said there was a trip on the return. I don't know, it the guy was falling and his leg was kind of just there. Didn't exactly seem obvious to me. I guess you could call a trip there, but it's not inarguable and the asterisk comment was over the top.

He said the punt return shouldn't have counted because of a tripping call that was missed.

Put an asterisk on the win is a moronic thing to say.  Refs literally screw up calls all the time.  NFL officials are basically known for incompetence

No idea what the Jets do from here but they gotta get someone other than Wilson. Wentz is the only FA option (besides Brady). I guess they could trade for Dalton, Taylor or Winston, but they aren’t exactly inspiring.
