Cox actually looks pretty decent this year.  Active. I thought he was washed 2 years ago.

Just wanted to remind you I had a bonus prediction of Hurts having 2 QB sneak TDs.

As I got older and started watching more teams than just the Eagles, I appreciate just how hard it is to be as great year to year with Tom Brady, manning and now Patrick Mahomes. Don’t have to like them but appreciate just how hard it is to stay at the top of the mountain and still come out playing like they did/doing year to year.

We had the era of the QB for 20+ years.  Brady, Peyton (not Eli), Big Ben, Rivers (prime), Brees, Rodgers, Warner spoiled us.  We also had honorable mentions of playoff Joe Flacco (prime), Eli (occasionally).

If the defense can get a stop here it really could open up the flood gates.

We all saw it too

Hey now... don't pee in my cheerios.  This is how I celebrate.   Was disappointed we didn't get the fat guy TD.  Nothing better in football!

They can't stop the run. We're up 13. Run, run, run, the rest of the way.

I’m not trying to stir anything up, nor do I think the utilization of the rb rotation is THE critical issue….but the unknowable and untellable stories would be interesting.

Penny was a high draft pick.  Spent his life as an athletic stud (as did just about anyone drafted).

He’s been effective as a pro, lots of injuries.  Wants a fresh start, signs with the eagles when they had a really thin backfield and probably aspires to be the guy.

Now he’s banished and unused.  This is a competitive pro athlete.  Is he thinking "F these guys, F these coaches, F this team.”

Doubt it is that extreme…he’ll get his chance

hahaha I guess not. He's launching his head and neck into a wall of 300 pound bodies. His forearm got caught sideways and behind him in a pile on the last one.

ONLY the DL.   Fortunately, when the DL truly dominates... the rest is almost moot.

Our OL is blowing them off the ball too, it's the passing game on both ends that sucks, but we're up by 13 so we can worry about that later

Let’s stop the BS and admit Swift is RB 1

I bet the reason Siposs isn't gone is that Elliott loved him as a holder.  He might be the best holder I've seen since Koy. His technique is refined unorthadoxy.

I know the legendary tales of Hurts weight room squat and deadlift numbers. But I would really love it if they rewarded the RBs. I wonder if Swift couldnt take that snap and get pushed in.

Yeah.  Swift seemed very disappointed he was tackled short of the goal line.  Philly kid getting a chance to score a TD for the Eagles in his first home game?   Nah.  Let's use the QB as a battering ram and risk a helmet to helmet collision.

This game is a reminder how we have 2 dominating lines that can take over games. Can always hang your hat on that when all fails. Never lost sight of that for this game and prediction.

I’m not trying to be extreme about it.  Just reflecting on the reality that these are fiercely competitive individuals who have spent much of their lives being stroked.  A surprise disappointment over playing time may not always result in an AB-like mutiny, but every locker room probably has a lot of really unhappy guys.

4th quarter.  He is perfect for it.

Yeah right know you have mahomes. I’d say Allen but each year he seems to be trending in the wrong direction where he’s still good but way too careless with his body and the ball. Burrow i think gets there but i worry about him surviving as long due to their oline issues. Hurts had a great year so I’m hoping he can take the jump into consistently being great year to year.

A lb play!

1 minute ago, HazletonEagle said:

oh come on thats a TD.

Couldn't be, they gotta let Hurts pad his stats, just like he did before the half, only to screw Elliot with a 61 yard FG, that he nailed.., no thanks to his QB who was just trying to put up numbers on his stat sheet.

They sniffed out that screen.

Great job tackling by Goodrich

Go mark it on your calendars that at 9:58 pm on Thursday a LB made a play.

Vikings OC seems scared of our pass rush.
