That explanation is terrible.  If it’s bang bang in real speed then that should eliminate 90% of targeting calls, 98% of roughing the passer calls etc.

Yeah the penalty then the loss of 3 on 2nd down made it very unlikely you pick up 23 yards on third. Just run a draw get 5-10 and make a field goal to make it 16

The flagged play and the incomplete to Brown (and the TD to Smith) were all big boy throws.  So the touch and talent is still there, now he just needs to settle down and command the game….but he definitely hasn’t managed that so far this year.
