Forgive me if I don't exactly trust the Eagles roster evals right now. Morrow got cut and put on the PS but looked good(and actually has a track record in this league recently of playing pretty well). Swift of course shines, when everyone and their mother knows he's far more talented than Gainwell. They continue to give Barnett snaps over Nolan Smith which is idiotic. And of course last night he gets burned on a TD because he sucks. They continue to shove Covey and Siposs down our throats.

The Eagles are a well run organization that are slow to take the L on their pet players. And if they like Gainwell more than Penny... whatever. I think it's dumb but whatever. I think they legitimately think Boston Scott is a better RB than Penny and not just got special teams value. Case in point: Penny didn't get touches yesterday until Scott went out with a concussion. To think Scott is better than Penny is an absurdity. Just laughable.

I agree with you on this.  However, Boston Scott was 5 for 40 last night before he got hurt and looked explosive on all 5 runs. I'm anything but a Boston Scott supporter but his running last night was night and day compared to Gainwell against NE. I've been Swift's biggest fan since they traded for him so I don't need to add anything else to that argument. Give him the ball and a 3-year deal.

Morrow looked like the best LB on the team last night, which isn't saying much, but it does make you scratch your head when he was cut. The blitz he had was the kind of play that Dean excelled at with UGA. I hope we see more of that.

I think Barnett just needs to be cut. I'm not sure Nolan Smith is the right guy to want in there as Barnett is a legit DE and Smith is a rush LB, but anyone but Barnett. Hell, Tarron Jackson at this point. I would have preferred they kept Janarius Robinson based on his size and athleticism. With that being said, Nolan Smith needs to cut in to Hasson Reddick's snaps at this point. Reddick doesn't appear to be himself yet after his thumb surgery. I'd much rather mix in Smith and see what juice he can bring off the edge.

One of Nolan Smith’s strengths in college was smarts. I saw several plays of him diagnosing a misdirection and staying on his man. The exact play Barnett bit on last night. I bet Nolan Smith stays home on his man if he’s in the game. And even if he doesn’t at least you get him reps and the chance to mature and grow. I want to see him play. Barnett doesn’t produce. He offers no upside. Why is he playing? He’s a net negative and you know that personal foul on 3rd and long to keep a critical drive alive is coming any day now.

Agree 100% that Smith wouldn't make the boneheaded mistakes that Barnett would but just position wise I'm not sure of the fit? If you have Smith in for Barnett you're essentially playing without a DE no?

Smith is pretty good against the run though. I think they're easing him back in from that banged up shoulder. And maybe trying to increase Barnetts trade value but he keeps Fn it up :)

Well, that's awkward

These Chinese sweatshop kids that Nike exploits sure don't make them like they used to.

Weird they signed Evans, put him in front of a camera for an interview and then cut bait a couple days later. Wonder if this is howie messing with the practice squad in some way. Making a spot on PS squad for someone they like and then signing Evans to 53 once Maddox goes to IR.

With Evans release, looks like they are going to fill that spot and resign Sermon to PS because of Scott concussion and Gainwell injury. Wouldn't be surprised if we see Evans again in the Howie Practice Squad  shuffle to keep all happy and engaged.

I thought they waived Sermon from IR. Gainwell and Scott should be back by the next game.

I suppose you could say it Hurts him to have such a wonky t-shirt

The tilt makes it look like a P, and he got boned.

That makes a lot of sense.  Rib injuries for a RB shouldn't be overlooked or thought of as something that goes away easily. I think ribs and hamstring are 2 injuries that would be really annoying to get early in the season because you're never going to fully recover until the season is over.

7/10 on the dad joke scale.

Doesn't waiving Sermon from IR mean they can sign him back to the roster?

No clue. But keeping 5 RBs seems much unless Gainwells ribs are broken. Scott should clear protocol by the time the next game rolls around

Sorry, I meant waiving him means you can sign him to the PS, not the active roster.

I think a certain amount of time needs to pass then you can.  Not sure how long but not right away

Assuming nobody else does

My thoughts exactly. It's not an "automatic" play. It's just an automatic play with our run blocking and Jalen's thicc thighs.

Which teams tried it and failed?

Agreed with everyone else about the Kelce documentary. His wife is awesome

That's cool he's still in touch with Barwin like that

Jalen Carter’s pressure rate this season is over 17%. That would’ve ranked #1 in the NFL last season for DTs.
