What about Rick Mahorn for a little extra curricular stuff on the field?  I think I'd take him over Dalembert and Bol.

Chocolate Thunder is a guy who is under appreciated for his sheer athleticism.  Frankly, I think he might even edge out Wilt for the top spot.

I think of Wilt as more of a Gronk and Dawkins as a Travis Kelce.  Wilt would have been meaner and more physical.

I think he's a top 5 TE from the Sixers.  I would probably rank Sixers Freakbeasts TE prospects as follows:

1. Wilt

2. Darryl Dawkins

3. Moses Malone

4. Charles Barkley

5. Joel Embiid.

* Honorable Mentions: Samuel Dalembert and Manute Bol.

Manute Bol😂

That dude would get snapped in half by Sean considine...

I forgot about Mahorn.  He was good and that 89-90  team was probably one of the best teams Barkley played on with the Sixers.  They just didn't have much of anything off the bench and could not compete with the Bulls.

I just realized something looking at the Patriots roster.  The Matt Corral transaction timeline is wacky:
2022:
Carolina gives New England #137 and 2023 #76 for #94 to draft Corral
2023:
New England claims Corral off Carolina's waviers

End Result:
Carolina gains nothing, loses picks
New England moves up from 94 to 76 in the following draft, gets 2022 #137 (Bailey Zappe) and Matt Corral

One of the 5000 reasons Carolina continues to Carolina.  My wife and her family are huge, delusional Panthers fans, as are all of their fans down here.  When talking football with them, you'd have thought the Panthers were in the SB last season.  Good news is her brother is in my fantasy draft tonight, and I can almost guarantee he drafts a bunch of Panthers players way too early and that stink.

The Eagles announced their captains:

- Jalen Hurts
- Darius Slay
- Jake Elliott
- DeVonta Smith
- A.J. Brown
- Brandon Graham
- Jason Kelce
- Lane Johnson
- Fletcher Cox

Did you say Davion Taylor?

Brandon Smith was a top 15 recruit.  He has some skills just needs some coaching.  I'm a PSU fan and his problem was always going for the big hit.  Looked fluid in coverage.  Still would like to give him a shot

Going from Thursday Night game week 2 to Monday night game Week 3 gives an odd period of rest sandwiched between two short weeks for thr Eagles.

He drafts a kicker earlier than the final round, doesn't he?

Sadly there are plenty of knuckleheads in this draft that pick kickers before the final round.

Playing in a League with Carolina fans is fun because they are always going to draft Carolina players too early.

I always draft the kicker first so that way you don't have to worry about drafting any more of them.

You've got it backwards.

If he were the driver, I'm sure he'd be in the court system right now and certainly wouldn't be working on his career, but working on his defense.  From the sound of it, the driver in question has no defense for their actions.

That was the report right after it happened, but….

Evidently the police report mixed up the drivers, Jefferson was the dude who was under the influence, and the family of the victim said the guy doesn’t smoke or drink

Steeler fans are like that. The Steelers defense will go in like round 5-7 every year in one of my drafts.

Maybe but I think it shows the strength of Hurts.  I am sure the players had input on the Captains.

Were the cops drunk too? I mean it's Alabama so there's probably no literacy test to be a cop.

TMZ Sports seems like a sketchy place to get info from. And it looks like that was the only outlet that reported that info, although a bunch of other places picked it up.

But it is possible that the investigation is ongoing, although it seems like there would be a criminal case by now if he was indeed impaired, and if nothing else, the police would have corrected the fact that they initially reported they mixed up the cars the two men were driving. Since that was never done, I would imagine he wasn't at fault. But it is possible that the case is still open.

AJ isn't an AARP member yet.

Hopefully, this is the day that the Arryn Siposs Superbowl stink comes off. And we can start anew. Eagles have a thing for Braden Mann.  And I do see why. Based on growth potential and strong leg. Is an elite holder, elite kickoff specialist and can flip the field. Can also cover on field goals mid game if Elliott gets hurt, was a kicker before punting.  Guy has broken a bunch of NCAA records and will probably be our guy.

Surprised not as much chatter about Brandon Smith.  He was a top 15 recruit, the #1 inside linebacker, and a super freak beast of an athlete

However, Smith reminded the NFL community of his elite athletic profile across the NFL Combine and Penn State Pro Day. Posting a Relative Athletic Score of 9.97, Smith set exceptional numbers for the 40-yard dash (4.52 seconds), vertical (37.5″), broad (10’8″), three-cone (6.94 seconds), and shuttle (4.08). While he won’t command first-round attention like teammates Arnold Ebiketie and Jahan Dotson, there’s a solid chance Smith is off the board on Day 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Wasn’t that impressive at PSU.  Yeah, great athlete but 0 instincts. LB, especially ILB is a football IQ position.  Frankly, I think VanSumeren has more potential.  Note Frank Reich, a coach Nick has a ton of respect for, cut him.  Grugier-Hill was their offseason signing at the position.  I follow Michael Kaye, who reports on the Panthers and some NFL stuff.  He suggested early on that Bumper Pool was ahead of him.   Pool has instincts but is slow.  Think a slow T J Edwards. Both were cut.
