Strahm, Hoffman and dominguez were actually good tonight. Kimbrel and Alvarado can’t find the Fing zone.

so sick of these guys giving it up

how do you look at that pitch

That was more stressful then it had to be

Seems to be the theme of Philly teams this year so far.

It’s ok, we have Sixers and Flyers soon.

Bullpen 4.1 IP, 2H, 1 run, 6 BB, 6K. Ugly but effective.

It's terminology. You wouldn't say "boot leg play action" in place of "read option". They mean two different things.

Sorry I used a synonym and you couldn't understand the correlation.  There's a huge difference between a boot leg and RO vs drawing someone away, hence clearing that area.  I'm not going to continue to argue just to argue.  The point is simple...it was a bad read.  On a 'clear' route, the QB has one defender to read.  A pretty wide open WR was missed and the ball was thrown into double coverage.  Also, draw is a run play...so terminology applies there to?

Hybrid Eagles-Braves fan here.

Grew up in south GA. Sue me lol

Truth though...

The Phillies are a team I don't want to face in the playoffs.

That’s going on all of our tombstones.

The misspelling is a nice touch.

I’m not going to pretend that I know what you are referring to as far as his mechanics on that one play.  I am going to assume that it was just one play that you felt his mechanics looked off… unless you can refer to others.

I’m not sure if it was his read, or a poorly run route that caused the INT, either way it was a bad play.  I personally was more concerned about a couple of the sacks he took.

I still feel he played a fairly decent game overall, with all things considered.  Certainly not close to his best.  I will, however, come far short of saying he’s reverted to 2021 like some others have inferred.

He just looked awkward making that throw.

As for the pick part... it was a poor read all the way.

The sacks are concerning because he ran himself into several of them bailing on a decent pocket.  His comfort in the pocket doesn't seem to be there right now.  He's not playing well right now.  The completion pct. aside.  I know he's at something like 71% or whatever, but part of that is because he's holding the ball rather than throwing it away to avoid a sack, and another part is because nearly everything is short.  2 straight games with under 200 yards passing is highly unusual in today's NFL.

We need jake Taylor to go to his apartment and tell him if he doesn’t figure his crap out he’s no good to him nor the team.

An alternative plan to the standing O?  I don't like it.  The standing O is tried and true... and gives a player a boost for an historic run.  Besides, Jake Taylor is a fictional character, the TTT (TreaTurnerTreatment) is 100% real and verifiable.

How’d that get called safe?

How did you watch the game?  I saw it was on Apple+, got pissed and just went to bed early.

Eagles always draws eyeballs.   The fans.   Imagine what the viewership would have been if the Eagles were in the Kelly greens!

How many of these are bad reps by Swift?

Maybe 3, but definitely 2.  One of these looks like it was designed as a screen pass,  ot even his job to take on a blitzer.

1. Maybe 1.5

Exactly. I’m watching that and I see one true loss by Swift, and it was a heckuva rush by Pace Jr. The rest (the play-action was iffy) I thought he picked up the right guy and lost slowly.

Yep.  I don't expect him to be an OL out there.

I see his willingness.  I see him make good contact and show his guy down.  I don't expect a stone wall.

One of those reps was really good. Another one of them he bumps the guy on his release in to a pass route where he was wide open and looked frustrated the ball didn't come to him. It wasn't even a pass blocking rep so the person who posted that had questionable judgement anyway.

At least 2, could use some work there, but few backs are gonna bat 1.000 in pass protection and to bench him would mean that Gainwell or Penny are cleare upgrades in that department, and I'm just not seeing it.

Swift gained 175 and won the game for them. I’m not benching him for 2 bad pass blocking attempts. That’s dumb. He’s not an OL

Swift tries. That's half the battle.

Also, most teams won't blitz as much as Minnesota all season.

Ultimately Swift was most effective in blocking the blitz by gouging them with runs. Pretty much nullified their entire defense
