Why the Eagles think Midnight green looks better than Kelly green...

What I find interesting is that every team that unveiled a throwback this year has a very dark "modern" uniform and their throwbacks are bright pastels.

Eagles Kelly Green

Seahawks Royal Blue

Titans Powder Blue

Patriots Red

Jets Kelly Green (although all-white uniform)

Vikings Purple (much brighter than their current set)

Brighter colors are just so much better looking than dark, drab boring monochromatic uniforms.

I think the Eagles are actually well equipped for Dallas.  That Dallas defense might actually be what it's hyped up to be, but their OL and weapons are suspect.  And the QB...toss aside our Eagles bias...is the definition of good but not great.

Their vaunted defense is built to terrorize QBs and has a fantastic secondary.  Our offense (often to my chagrin) is built to win when we can barely pass at all (see 2-0 record).  The OL can still run right at Dallas...maybe not with the efficiency we saw against Minnesota, but still with success.  Our whole game plan isn't going to fall apart if we can only throw for 150 yards against that D.

Basically, we won't run it as effectively as we did against Minnesota...but we really have nowhere to go but up in the passing department.  And defensively, there's no Jefferson running around free all day.

I'm not arguing that Minnesota is as good as Dallas (it's not close), but we really shouldn't fare that much worse.

must be all that jiu-jitsu

Week 2 is always a week of comparisons, some valid, some baseless.

I feel better that the high flying Dolphins offense (not that we are far into the game) has had tough sledding against the Patriots.

Why scheme when everyone can just run 1000 mph

New England just doesn't have the speed to matchup with Miami. They're super versatile (which is why they could line up against us), but Waddle/Hill/Mostert should run past them. This will be a problem for most teams as long as their main guys are healthy.

When we play the Dolphins, Cunningham is unplayable.

McDaniels is an elite play designer and play caller

Yeah I just don't see how we could beat the Dolphins.  Felt the same last year after all the reports of how we couldn't do anything against them defensively in the joint practices and then they got off to their hot start before the Tua concussions started happening.  If he stays healthy they are probably the most lethal team in the NFL.

NFL and ESPN have to be overjoyed that their gamble to put Bucs in MNF in week 3 against the Eagles worked out and the Bucs have managed to get to 2-0 heading into it.  I think that's now going to be a relatively highly rated game.

I still don’t get why McVay kicked a FG with 4 seconds left on the 20. Might as well go for the TD. Won me $ though

They had 35-40 seconds left in the game and were in FG range and called a play instead of spiking and kicking the 50ish yard FG with a chance for an onside kick. Pretty bad coaching job there

Definitely won't be overturned. Not even really close.

Oh man, that was a hospital ball but the DB whiffed

Based on how the Bucs and Patriots look today, we should feel better about our offense and worse about our defense.

What a play on special teams by the pats. Guy comes running and blocks the field goal

Need an upgrade up the spine of the D

Turns out the Pats aren't as good when there isn't a giant void in the middle of the field.

Also, awful throw by Mac Jones.

Didn't realize this but Jordan Davis only played 17 snaps on Thursday? He's playing great but dude needs to be on the field more than that. I know he got dinged at the end of the game but still seems like an incredibly low number.

I hope sirianni or someone gives them some extra motivation because of it. Frankly it doesn’t matter to current team but that last game at the vet still pisses me off

The Pats doing to the Dolphins what they did to us. Hang around, hang around, hang around...

I always had respect for Ronde.
