Based off reading the story i think dov Fed up and is wrong in his tweet

"Jalen, coming off of that shoulder [injury, suffered in December, lingering in February], and I know he was probably about 65% to 70%. But he pulled it out for his team [winning the first two playoff games by comfortable margins]. I’ll tell you, he’s wired differently.

"I’m like, like, Jalen, are you healthy? He’s like, You know, bro. I’m like, So you playing? He’s like, What you think?” McNabb laughs. "He’s like, Sometimes you gotta just do the job yourself.

"My response. Good. Because if you wasn’t thinking that way, I was gonna call you soft.

Ironic.  I thought of lots of Johnsons, but Brian was not one of them.

Yeah, I don't believe that.

He threw an absolute dime to AJ that was called back because of the Penny hold

I still blame Shane and Siri for that abomination of a game plan at Chicago.

Pretty sure it’s misquoted cause i read the article i think it’s in reference to last year during the playoffs.

Wow an actual move by the sixers

I was gonna say, he hasn't played since February. So he had 6 full months to get back to 100% and he's only 65%? That wouldn't make too much sense and a pretty bright red flag

Yeah went and read the article. This is what was in the article

I dunno, I guess it's just different now but I wouldn't be joking around with the team that just beat us and are mocking me on a play that could have changed the entire outcome. CeeDee just went for 150 against you (even though for some reason Sauce wasn't glued to him) and Parsons made Wilson's life a living hell.

The problem hasn't been accuracy, it's been him not reading the field which you can't blame on a shoulder injury from last year

They only play each other every few years so that could be why it's not as big of a deal. A lot of them are friends off the field.

That said, I'm also somewhat in agreement. I'd be pissed.

I forgot Michael Thomas was in the NFL. He's barely played since 2019.

He’s since updated

Jurgens was up and down. He was strong in pass pro and his drive blocking and combo blocks were sound but there was a play when he pulled that he was late. I single it out because it could have been a huge play and it's perhaps unfair because he was fine on the other 76 snaps, just not this one. It's a counter-trey that Hurts might have scored on if he makes his block:

Jurgens and Lane pull to the left. Mailata and Dickerson wall off the Vikings DL. The only guy in a position to make a tackle is #58. That's Jurgens' block.

As you can see below, #58 is already by him and Hurts has no chance.

Two yard loss.

If Jurgens makes this block, Hurts has Goedert and Lane in front of him and twenty yards to the nearest defender. But...

He's late. #58 is by him.

who makes the tackle. It looks like the DT was coming into position to make the tackle if #58 did not but...

Lane obliterates him. The outside corner is too wide to make the stop and Goedert has the safety lined up. Woulda coulda shoulda.

As I said, 77 snaps and I had to pick this one. The other 76, solid. Strong in one-on-one pass pro. Anchored really well.

Would you mind looking at that again, and answer whether or not it was feasible for Jurgens to hit the landmark he needs to hit to get to 58 (Jordan Hicks) in time, or if its just a great read by Hicks and Jurgens really couldn't be expected to get where he needed to in time because of how fast Hicks was in the backfield?

Was he slow or late?   There is a difference.

Could it be that #58 read the keys well and aggressively attacked his gap?

The spacing between he and Lane as they pull looks like the play as designed.

That's what I was thinking.

He surely didn't make the block.  It looks like he was too close to the LOS.  It seems to me, however, that Jalen also is slow getting to the LOS.  It looks like he took a step back prior to starting forward.  If he's up on Johnson's hip the defender has ran out of the play.  Hurts has looked slower to me running the ball. I am not sure what that is but he definitely could have helped Jurgens by getting upfield.

Yes.

Jokes aside are we really burying Nolan Smith for his first 10 snaps?

Not sure about others, but if a player doesn't get double digit sacks in his first 10 snaps, I declare bust.

Yeah... that's uncalled for and rather cowardly from a guy wearing a visor.

I stayed up and watched that game... probably one of the dirtiest games I've seen in a long time. Personal foul penalties left and right. Travis Hunter almost got killed on one. I was entertained though.

Some of us are coming to the realization that sometimes being a freakbeast alone isn't enough to be a great player.  Not me, but the more sensible posters.

I think he should transition to FS.

I’m no insider and have no idea if this was already out there, but I spoke to someone close to QB coach Alex Tanney and he apparently wanted to join Steichen in Indy, but the Eagles wouldn’t let him out of his contract.

Eagles pulled a similar move with DiFillippo to the Jets before 2017.   Was it going to be a parallel move or a promotion?

That's an interesting one.  He's talented.  An athletic wing who can defend and occasionally shoot well from 3.

Obviously his personality is why he's available so late.

But at this point in the off season, with the team a mess anyway,  why not?
