Stopping in the stadium won't matter. It's the tailgating where people show up 8 hrs before game time and get loaded in the parking lot

I'd be on board with guards tossing anyone at the security screening checkpoints if they're belligerent or can't function normally. Come back through when you sober up and maybe we'll let you into the stadium.

I am so tired of boozed up NFL game fan culture. The league is in bed with the alcohol companies so they’ll never do it, but just stop serving alcohol or put a cap on it at this point. If you can’t go to a game without getting loaded up, then maybe let someone who wants to enjoy the experience go instead.

So stupid. Many lives ruined over nothing.

No Julius peppers? He is 4th all time in sacks

Sacks aren’t all he was assigned and teams ran at him because of that.  Gates was more of a game changer.

Screw the Santa and snowballs BS from here on out. They f'ing killed a guy. I have no idea who started the fight but it's beyond sickening a family lost someone because of a f'ing game.

They're not mutually exclusive. More than one person can get in for a class.

bookmarking this to watch later tonight, thanks for the heads up

I think alcohol has as much to do with it as the games. Mix alcohol and emotions and some people get out of control. Not sure what can be done about it though other than arresting and convicting the offenders when they happen. Most people don't commit murder at sporting events.

Notice the misses by Stoll on blocks in the Goedert section.

By this logic, Aaron Donald shouldnt make it when he is eligible either.

Peppers was an athletic freak, with excellent sack production. He was part of revolutionizing the position. He played in an era where there used to be a quicker DE on one side, and the strong side DE had to be a heavier guy. Peppers was one of the guys who could switch sides. He was a big DE, but more of a lanky build. Now you dont see teams with their left DE always needing to be the 285lb guy. By the time Peppers was done playing, that changed. He was part of that.

And while he might not have been completely well rounded, he had big time sack production and was a guy teams had to gameplan for.

I think hes HOF worthy. And I criticize Donald for run D while other people arent willing to admit he is anything less than perfect, but Aaron Donald should get in on pass rush ability alone as well.

Some people are just a-holes looking to fight and alcohol can bring out the worst in people or amplify bad personalities.I don't know the details, but I'd imagine it was manslaughter vs murder. You can limit how many beers a person can buy, but you can't limit how many they drink on the way in. Honestly, this is a sad situation, and we agree it can't be prevented outside of security doing a better job of screening people as they enter.

Even having to say he gets in on the first shot is an insult. AD that is.

Plus Hurts hit Smith for two long passes (one TD) and had AJ when he was interfered with (no call) and another called back

Yeah... big time plays will have teams thinking twice. I love that teams are trying all their new ish now so later in the season we have all the answers woot woot.

Yep, lots of jokes about Hurts-rookie stuff but he still is a young growing QB who will benefit from seeing new wrinkles on D. He hasn't seen it all yet despite people expecting that

That may true but, the hall is going to look at the sack numbers and longevity

YOUR SAMPLE SIZE IS TWO GAMES, who gives a crap where the offense are in the passing rankings after 2 games, last year we had lots of yards but one less TD through two games, Hurts takes a while to get into rhythm and his career has been marked by taking time to get used to new coordinators. with a long week we'll look better again on Monday.

Oh and those defensive rankings are a real head scratcher, it's like the complete opposite of what you'd expect from a team that had a stellar defensive line and injuries on the back en... oh wait no it's not.

Calm down coochie. Nowhere did I declare that these rankings are going to sustain themselves.

I watched the All22.  I would argue that Brian Johnson is still getting his feet wet.   Flores ran a ton of blitzes and spies Hurts with a LB all game.  He also dropped seven in coverage quite a bit.  But Brian’s use of the short game was outside the numbers.  Needed to utilize the middle of the field more and not just in the run game.  That said, running in those spaces is far more likely to produce good results. There is danger passing in the middle.  Give it time.  I find it interesting that a 78% passing rate is considered bad.

The middle needs some work to keep the defense off balance. Goedert will get going eventually, but I’m not a fan of them eliminating the middle of the field. I think with the success the Birds have had going deep will cause the defenses to back off a little and open that middle. Putting more tape out there how the Eagles are going to counter these looks will start to open things up. The Eagles have a good offense in the sense they can go deep, work the middle, and run it down your throat. I understand they are still getting their feet under them, I think it will work itself out.

I respectfully disagree.  I firmly believe the run game we saw on Thursday is sustainable regardless of how the passing game shakes out.  Both New England and Tampa Bay drew up defensive game plans that (1) took away the deep passes with a blanket of coverage, and (2) took away the option of Hurts running in RPOs by devoting the ir DEs to spying Hurts.  But there are only 11 players on the field at a time for the Defense, and that put the interior D-Line and LBs at a distinct disadvantage when dealing with the eagles' O-line and RBs. That disadvantage will continue until and unless the opposing Defenses devote more of their resources to stopping the runs.

If the DEs stop spying Hurts, then he will be able to make his own contributions to the RPO running game. He will also have a bit more time to go through his progressions and find an open receiver.  Brian Johnson can also help by devoting more of his attention to short passes over the middle, which should be open.

In true numbers terms you are absolutely correct, but it is a small sample size you are dealing with.

I think we are generally in agreement. When I say not sustainable I’m meaning running 250+ a game as RLC alluded to being the floor. Yes, the Eagles can run the ball well, but not like that weekly if the passing game doesn’t get going. While I think the passing will work itself out, if it doesn’t then teams are going to key on the run.

I know Hurts will work hard to improve, and have faith in him working through this.

😂

Anyone superstitious/concerned about the fact that we play on MNF this week and in the last 3 MNF weeks there were major injuries to Damar Hamlin, Aaron Rodgers and now Nick Chubb. Are we all going to be doing some sort of praying/protection rituals this week?

Sure can but first ballot is kind of limited as an honor.

I’m all Deion out  , go away already . It was entertaining for a minute .
