  • Personal Note: Today was a tough day. My wife’s father passed away after a long battle with cancer at 3am this morning. He has 2 son-in-laws, and our teams are the Eagles and Bucs. So…it was kind

Very odd...but also encouraging.  No way it stays this way and they've won both games.

Textbook evidence that turnovers is a more meaningful stat than yards.

I think our passing attack will get going but I have concerns with our pass defense over the course of the season. Not sure it'll ever get right and I fear we'll be back in the bottom half of the league again after being wildly successful there last year.

How dare you assume it's a football.

You're absolutely right.

I'll be issuing an apology on Instagram at 8:30 pm EST.

I'm sure people will brush off the QBR stat but I'm also curious when some will start having concerns

Without having taken one snap preseason, I'm not concerned yet.

I’ll begin having concerns after this weeks game. They have a full week and a half to look at what teams have been throwing at them… They should have a counterpunch ready

And running for 250

Jalen is not getting a lot of help from his receivers/play-calling, but he's doing his job when he does throw.

I was watching the all-22 from Thursday and just wanted to give Sweat a shout-out:

That play apparently ended Udoh's (#74) season.

The run game against the Vikings is not sustainable if the Eagles continue to struggle in the air. Hurts needs to start seeing the field better, and I think he will start to do that. While I don't like forcing the ball to certain players, they need to get AJ involved more and early. Goederts targets will come, but they really need to get AJ going and I'd like to see him play more in the slot to create mismatches.

The Eagles have polar opposite stats on both sides of the ball. On offense they are top 5 rushing but bottom 5 in passing, defense is top 10 against the run but bottom 10 against the pass.

Keep this thought process.  He needs to see the field better, it's as simple as that.  There's too many playmakers on O.  WR1 is getting his yards and catches, AJ's will come once Hurts knocks the rust off.

Most interesting contrast here to me is Young vs Stroud. Especially given the narrative of their relative performance

He may be listed at 204 but that's a stretch, he's lucky if he's over 185.

I would switch Gates comments with Peppers comments but otherwise agree entirely.  Nelson and Ngata belong in the Hall of Very Good.

Gates, Peppers and maybe Unger are the only ones on that list that should even be in contention for the HoF.

If Dawkins truly wanted to remain an Eagle, he shouldn't have gotten on the plane to Denver. Nor should he have made the determination that doing so meant that he was somehow obligated to sign with them. He could have visited the Broncos and said thank you for your consideration but I'm going to stay with the Eagles.

I'm way more pissed at Dawk in this than I am Banner.

Seems backwards
