So you're ok with them looking ahead of games and resting players because they may need them the next week?

Would your mind change if we had started 0-1 because of that?

We didn't so the plan is working ;) Are you ok with a 3-0 start?

He better be…I need him to replace Dobbins on my team lol

I picked up Edwards last week and by some miracle I was able to get Ford this week

Wait, what prompted you to say he looks washed up?  Granted, I didn't watch much of the preseason, but to me it looks like he's been caught in a numbers game at running back.  I don't know that there's enough touches go to around between Swift, Gainwell, Scott, and Penny.

He doesn't look like the same player he used to be. He's also old for a RB (27 going on 28 in Feb) and has a massive injury history. Therefore, my guess is he is just about washed up.

Wonder if there's some correlation with the three and outs and the horrible weather that many teams faced in Week 1 in addition to minimal pre-season live bullet reps.

Jags played in the dome in Indy so they wouldn’t be. I still think bengals is a product of burrow being hurt and that calf isn’t right plus he tweaked it again.

I think he still has some tread on the tires. Last year's injury was a fracture.

Jags is because Press Taylor continues to be awful

QB got knocked out of the game early in one of those games so that's maybe where much of the issues came in for Indy?

Eagles will light up the Bucs in the passing game.  :flex:

That’s also probably true. I also think doug for as great of a motivator as he is and good coach, his offense got stale when he was here. How many times in 2019 and 2020 did we discuss that in depth. It’s an issue. They have all the talent to put up monster numbers. Frankly don’t think KC’s defense is great to hold them to 9 points.

They better be ready for Mike Evans on D or it's going to be a shoot out.

I thought they would have used Coveys last elevation before doing this.

They may be saving it for later in the year.

Lol so now it's ok to look forward. Noted

Even though he wasn’t the most talented, Jason Avant is one of my favorite Eagles of all time. There is a really good interview from Derrick Gunn with Jason Avant on the inside the birds podcast today. Learned quite a lot about Avant’s life and all of the adversity he faced growing up.

Richardson has 8 of them. Had 6 in the first game. 2 before he got knocked out of the second

Ghost and bradberry back next week?

Pretty much this. It’s always been their philosophy to pass to get the lead then sit on it with the run game. That’s ideally how they want the flow of the game to go. Swift going off last week was the contingency plan, not the main gameplan. It’s also why I’d like to see them get a real third WR on the team. AJ and DeVonta are great, but it would be nice to have a guy with a pulse who can make a few key grabs a game at WR3.

So this is going well

People can say I’m crazy but if they opt for getting a 3rd WR at the deadline go big. Hollywood brown is a FA at the end of the year. Appears as if the cardinals might not keep him. You aren’t going to bring him back but the cardinals haven’t discussed an extension either. However if he leaves he’s going to get a nice contract so you’d get a 3rd round comp pick the following year. If the cardinals were willing to deal him for a 3rd I’d consider doing it as he’s a legit speed guy which is something we don’t have and with brown and smith, he’d see single coverage and give you what you wanted out of quez for half a season

That said i don’t think it’s realistic for many reasons. just a thought if the cardinals were willing to move him and it was the right price.

Dude is a legend!

Swift was the hot hand. You keep feeding the hot hand. Swift got damn near 0 touches in Week 1 so he was fresh enough to do that. Avg roughly 15 touches a game now.

15 touches a week is not the same thing as 0 touches one week and 30 touches the next.  They need to be smarter about his use in order to have him long term... that said, Thursday night was a bit of an odd situation with Gainwell already out, and Scott being lost part way through, with the added bonus of an extra long break before the next game.   But, if this becomes the norm... feast or famine, versus a more even approach to his touches, we'll be without him for a significant chunk of the year.  Hopefully the coaches are paying attention to that.
