This niners offense would be lethal with someone like Herbert at the helm

Why don’t we run slants with AJ anymore? That crap worked all last year

I noticed a lot of drops by him on those routes. really wasnt a fan of the way they forced the ball to him on slants.

They asked Bryan colangelo and he said find a new slant

49ers might have the beat fans in the NFL.  That stadium is rocking for a Thursday Night Game.

SF seems vulnerable on the interior OL

Nothing wrong with a shut down inning, fellas.

Feels like every game they just can’t do it.

Only giving up 1 in this inning would almost feel like a win.  🤦‍♂️

Would really like to have a 3-4 run lead when ranger leaves cause the bullpen gives me absolutely no faith they could hold a 1-2 run lead right now.

Gotta take advantage of this starter this inning and finish him off.

Giants just barely got the tush push.  Looks like Jones was going to be stopped short.

Don't look now but Giants moving the ball down the field.

The trolling is becoming more and more apparent with each post. For the life of me, I can’t understand why they ever let you back.

You're Charmin soft, can't handle a joke about how quiet the 49ers fans are and empty the stadium is.  Lay off the soy.

The slant works against man coverage but not zone.

Yeah, let’s just not block Bosa

These 9ers look beatable, how do you not go for it on that 4th down

If a stud CB is available at our pick, it would be foolish to pass over the CB because of what we've seen so far from Jobe, Ricks and Ringo.  If by some miracle we end up with a bevy of young CB talent, I'm sure Howie would find a suitor for one to pay a handsome price.

That said, OT is likely the top priority... without deference to right or left side.  If a stud LT prospect is sitting there, I've got no issue with flipping Mailata to RT, he's proven he can do it.

There isn’t going to be a "stud” at any position other than maybe center and MLB when we pick late in the first round. "Studs” at CB and OT go in the top 20, almost always in the top 15.

As for the opportunity cost of Ringo/Ricks vs a rookie, I’m not sure what marginal improvement you expect from a rookie. CB is one of the toughest positions for rookies to play. So you’re likely to get better play from Ringo or Ricks with a year of experience under their belt anyway.

And as far as upside, I’m not sure you are finding someone with more upside than Ringo. Again, 6’2” 210 pound CBs with 4.3 speed, ball skills, and a willingness to hit are rare. Both Ringo and Ricks were among the highest recruits in the country for a reason. You need to let these guys play to develop. You can only learn so much from the bench.

Mailata is not moving to RT as long as Lane Johnson is here, and in that case, we don’t want to be displacing BOTH of our OTs if there is an injury. Any OT we take (without a massive trade up) in the draft isn’t going to be a plug and play starter. They’re going to need to develop, and Steen will likely play ahead of them for most, if not all, of their rookie season.

Yup, Purdy having some accuracy issues, and their interior OL is a problem.

Our DT’s will eat.

Kittle looking like he's battling through some stuff.  I don't think he makes the full season.

The 49ers are overrated.  The Giants are underrated.  The 49ers are still good.  The Giants are still bad.

Al Michaels is so lost.  This has to be his last year.

Maybe I expect better pedigree.    But, I'm not interested in debating hypotheticals.

And I thought it was obvious that moving Mailata to RT would only happen after Johnson retires.  I think he might leave when Kelce does.  I just don't see him back for more than 2024 at most.  But we don't know where the Eagles are drafting, nor do we know who will be there when the Eagles are on the clock.  So, arguing about it is fruitless.   Either way, an OT is a higher priority to me than DE, and an OT that can play LT is preferred to me than an RT only.

The 49ers found one in Ronnie Bell.

A very Eli-esque TD pass there.
