Honestly I'd deal with some crap on the streets if I could have SF's Japanese food scene.

The housing prices on the other hand...yeah I'm good.

Some of the best dim sum and peking duck I've ever had was in San Fran.  There was also a asian-cuban fusion restaurant I went to 2 decades ago that I can't remember the name of that was amazing.  No idea if they are still around.

Oh, if you are in Marin and want a good sammich, I use to love Sol Food.  I only bring that up because I'm hungry for a proper Cubano.

It's always funny when people who probably haven't lived more than 10 miles from where they were born comment on CA and they've probably never even been there.

I'm 2.2k miles from where I grew up back there, so you can spin the wheel again. It's funny when people assume that other people are assuming stuff.

How is a joke about San Fran not prosecuting shoplifting racist?

That and literal s*** on the street is what San Fran is now known for.

So I'm from SLC Utah and while Utah is a bit bigger than it used to be it's still not very diverse, I didn't see a real life black person til I was like 8 years old and I was like in awe, like oh my lucky stars ... after in got married we moved to SF and it was the first time I had lived in a big city, we lived in a suburb outside the city but I worked in the city in the streets for a charitable group for a bit And it was an eye opener for me as far as big city life, I stick out like a sire thumb, just so many people and they're all so busy, lots of homeless people, lots of tourists all the time and as Iv e gotten older and been to other big cities in the US And outside I've noticed they're all pretty much the same, lots of busy people doing lots of things some honest some not

I like Kansas life, it's slower, less people, still same amount of shady people % wise but it's not as in your face as in a big city like SF or big cities In Europe.

Anyway end of tangent.

Couple thoughts to get the elevations discussion going.

Mann is obvious.

With Covey and Morrow on the 53, looking at where the Eagles might be light:

S. Reed was limited on Tuesday and Edmunds did not practice (DNP).  Perhaps McCollum?  While Garner is S sized, no indication he has played any S.  McCollum spent a year on the Texans PS and also played some roverback and nickel in college.  Bonus is his twin brother is #3 on the Bucs at CB.  Seems unlikely as I expect Ghost and Edmunds to be a full go on Monday.

RB. Scott is still in the protocol (not unusual on day seven) and Gainwell was limited.  Koback doesn’t even have a number yet.  Seems unlikely as I suspect both Scott (who was off to the side in uniform and Gainwell to be full go on Monday.

LB.  Bit of a wildcard with Cunningham limited and only three ILB on the roster.  VanSumerin as insurance?  So green and they have Patrick Johnson and Nolan Smith as options so seems unlikely.

WR.  Quez DNP with a hammy, coming off a hammy that kept him out of PS and most of last game. Smith with a hammy/thigh.  Frankly, Smith sounds like a thigh bruise tightness more than a muscle pull.  Kind of depends on how bad Smith is because I doubt Quez is active and also how they feel about Covey as a WR.  Eagles have Allen, Ngata and Ward on the PS.  Ward would seem the likely option of those three  If they elevate a PS player, Ward seems the most likely.

Looking at the inactives, not injured.  Would Ojomo get the start if Davis’s ankle is an issue.  Cox will play. Seems unlikely.  Ojomo may well replace Street at some point this season

Stoll has an ankle.  Maybe that is why he was so bad last Thursday.  Could Brooks get switched for him if he isn’t a full go.

Sweat’s toe is a bit of a concern but I don’t see Jackson getting elevated.

Injury report will be an estimate today because today would be the walkthrough day, I imagine.

I'd guess Kyron Johnson for ST's is the 2nd elevation

Also today should be their big practice of the week. WT tomorrow. Everything is a day later since they play Monday.

Should be MULTIPLE arrest warrants for all involved.

And, I am sick and tired of seeing these things posted to social media, rather than it being stopped by the bystanders.

If you look at the thread on X, there are a bunch of "news” outlets asking permission to use the video.  That’s why people film it and post it instead of trying to stop it.  For those seconds of fame.

I was in San Francisco about 23 years ago.

I was either too young to notice the poop on the streets, or it was a heck of a lot more charming back then.

I think myself lucky to have seen it before it became what it supposedly is now.

Yes.  Which is a problem.

I get you.

At the same time, having worked in a lot of different cities over the past two decades, certain things stand out.  When I was working there the homeless population was bad, but everything I've seen and heard from friends that liver there, it's gotten nuts.  Same thing with Denver.  I worked there all of 2004 and most of 2006, moved there in 2009 and lived there till 2016.  After they legalized it (and Colorado being first), there was a MASSIVE influx of homeless there that led to a surge in crime, especially in my neighborhood which was right by the shelter.  It feels like San Fran is experiencing the same with their "don't prosecute shoplifters" stance.... its a bit of legislation that caused serious problems with increased crime, especially with the homeless.

They don’t need Johnson with Reddick, PJ and Smith available.  The elevation only makes sense for need.

They have been doing walk throughs on Thursdays.

Also it's because it's not always safe to actually intervene nowadays. People have been killed, sued, arrested, etc for trying to help break up fights

Adam Caplan dropped a huge nugget of intel today on the pod:

"Here's a nugget for you, if James Bradberry shows on the injury report as a FP, that means he's almost cleared of the protocol"

He learned that from an NFL GM when he was with ESPN.

Guys no one cares where you'd like to live and not. Believe it or not people have different priorities in life. Some people want good sashimi, easy access to butt-stuff, and to smell each other's farts about driving electric cars. Some people want to double fist handguns while riding an ATV in the back woods while drunk off their cousin "Cooter's" pine-cone moonshine. Different strokes.

Except Ohio. F Ohio (it knows that it did).

The last fight I saw at a football game was between Frank Garcia and a drunk ass Eagles fan who thought he could fight a former NFL o lineman. There’s no way anyone was intervening unless they were paid to do so.

Ummm no. It's a POS and you can find actual POS on the sidewalk on most blocks for a reason. F that state and the rats fleeing it f'ing up where they go.It's not a narrative.

Have you lived there, have you been in most blocks? I have, I worked in SF , on the streets,  I worked in Oakland door to door, never saw anymore poop on the street than I did in any other big city.

Fights break out at most stadiums in the NFL probably not a coincidence that the most fights breakout at the bigger market teams and definitely doesn't help when one stacks people on top of each other like sardines then fill them with alcohol.

SF fans do seem to be a special kind of stupid though, I mean the video is of niner fans beating up niner fans🤞

Who is Brooks in your TE assessment?

My vote is for Mann and Allen.

Just because you are blind or oblivious doesn't change the fact that city has turned to literal crap before we even start talking about the crime. If you can't see how it's changed since just 10 years ago then there is no point continuing this conversation.

My only gripe is against the team and the fans. Don't have anything against the city or the non-fans there 🤷‍♂️

Yup they have a lot of homeless, part of it is the weather, it's warm all year around, I mean even in the winter the lowest it gets is like 50 degrees. But most days it's 65 and above.

Having said that I think the bigger problem is not the homeless but why the US and the world has so many homeless

The US has more empty houses than it has homeless, the US is richest country in the history of the world yet 5 people in the US have more wealth than the bottom half of the whole US population, wealth inequality is higher than it was before the depression etc etc...

I'm dangerously approaching political talk if I haven't already so I'll stop and agree that yes there are al ot of homeless people in Cali which is the 5th biggest economy In the world which to me is a shocking stat.

Having said that Im still lost as to why Trent Williams didn't get ejected
