Well... Realmuto is hitting now, even at CBP, even with RISP!  Castellanos is heating up again.  Turner got a double and broke that 0 for.  Schwarber continues to get on base and smoke the ball.  Harper is as hot as can be.  Bohm, Stott and Marsh have grown up significantly since last year.  Compared to last year's lineup... this lineup is deeper, IMO.  Lost Segura and Hoskins.  Added Turner and Rojas.  Lose a bit of power, but add significant speed dimension to the lineup.  So, the real difference in the lineup from last year is the young trio I mentioned earlier just maturing.

The question is how will the pitching hold up?  Both starting pitching and relievers.  Last year, I felt great with Alvarado and Dominguez, but I was much more unsure about the rest.  This year?  Kimbrel hasn't been lights out recently... Alvarado and Dominguez have been too inconsistent.  Of the entire group, only Hoffman has been extremely solid.   That said... the guys they have in the bullpen have some nasty stuff... and if maybe having a few days off after clinching, they can get some more life in their arms and be ready to go for the postseason.  Kimbrel, Soto, Alvarado and Dominguez should be a solid foursome for the postseason, if they are 'on'.  Here's hoping they find it again, the hitters seem to have.

Dominguez was really up and down before the playoffs last year. I’m hoping he finds that same stride again. I tend to think he got overused last postseason and it caught up to him this year.  He just hasn’t had consistency. Soto i have no clue. Was good with the tigers. But he’ll be great for 4 games then bad for the next 3. Felt like that had been his issue all year.  Alvarado seems to have found himself again lately. Kimbrel like you said hasn’t been as consistent lights out lately. I think they’ve used him mode then they planned before the season and when they signed him.

The lineup has more overall talent because bohm, stott and Rojas have progressed. Turner if he hits like after the ovation is actually a better overall hitter than hoskins. Like last year, the Phillies if they get hot at the right time the bats can carry them and make up for some of their pitching inadequacies in the rotation.

imo i think a Braves vs. Phillies matchup is going to come down to who’s rotation holds up better and gives more quality innings. Cause i can see both teams teeing off of each other BPs as that’s what has been the case in a good amount of games this year between the two.

Probably not the best headline to go with lmao

Steelers might want to not cover Adams 1 on 1. Clearly that’s not working.

Could have been worse.

Most casual fans do not. I know Schiano, Harbaugh, and Prime lol

That's why they're casuals.

I wouldn't expect people that don't really follow a sport to know players or coaches.

It's great that Deion brings in casuals.

Wonder what changed.

Who is hotter Carrie Underwood or Audrey Hepburn?

Phillies getting hot late in the season. Should make for exciting NL playoffs.

Never shied away from being a Braves-Eagles fan here.

I see the Braves and Phillies meeting again this postseason. And it really is a toss up. Both teams did better on the road. Comes down to pitching matchups I suppose.

Braves have been playing down to teams lately. Marlins and Nationals of late. Don't know what to think of this team. Statistically historic on offense. But shaky in a 7 game series.

That is a fair/objective assessment.  Phils have to get past Round One first though.

I trust your bullpen more than ours. But I will take our aces versus yours.

Hitting will be the coin flip.

No.  Just an entertainer entertaining the home crowd.  Good business on her part.  She is a really good businessperson.

That wild card round isn’t going to be easy either. If you get the dbacks then you have to hope cubs, reds and marlins keep pace to force them into using gallen and Kelly the last couple games. Otherwise they likely rest them and you are facing gallen and Kelly for games 1 and 2.

I’m not a fan of skip Bayless, but he’s obviously very good at what he does. He’s built an empire on tugging at the strings of what makes people watch daytime weekday sports shows. He’s the singular expert at sports debate ratings.

But these postgame Twitter videos are inexplicable. I get he’s trying to convey his distaste, but it’s so bizarrely unprofessional. He’s just staring at his image on the iPhone like he’s in a trance

Garoppolo got bent horribly there

Skip Bayless is Dennis Reynolds.

From the future.

They're clearly missing Diggs. :nonono:

Can we trade our QB2 (Mariota) to the Jets for a decent draft pick? They need a QB very, very badly.

He also only keeps his eyes down field for like 1 second before he pulls it back and then decides he has to run around and make a play.

He’s not good and to think James Jones said he was better than Hurts a couple weeks ago. Smh.

Yup. I just think having no faith in the BP is a true mark of a Phils fan

I might be a Phils fan after all. Need to check the 23 and me to know for sure.

I personally couldn't care less who she pulls for.

But, I've been to central PA plenty of times, and they have split loyalty.  Lots of Ravens, lots of Steelers and some Eagles.     As the Eagles have gotten to the Super Bowl more... and the Steelers/Ravens have taken a step back, the pendulum has likely swung more towards the Eagles than it was about a decade or so ago.  It's not 'Eagles country' the same way that Northern DE or South Jersey are.

Yep, the Baltimorons that move up here are Ravens fans.  Since PA doesn’t tax pensions, we get a lot of Federal employee retirees moving up here too, so some Commie fans but they are mostly Ravens fans.  On CBS we get Ravens games over Steeler games.  Some Steeler fans but those date back to Bradshaw’s teams.  Like Harford County and the Westminster area in MD, we get a number of transplants from other states that hate the idea of row homes, so we get some following their teams of youth.

Honestly, if the Oilers had remained in Houston, I would still follow them, but I moved long before Sunday Ticket and the Eagles were attractive to me immediately.  (I like to say when my job transferred me to Baltimore and I moved to the mid state, I chose to live in PA because of Penn State and the Eagles and a lesser degree, the Steelers.  As a kid who grew up in TX, I wanted a football state and PA is a football state.  MD has turtles and the Orioles, DE has friggin’ chickens.  I am proud my kids are Nittany Lions although they object to my position those are just Cougars - think UH).

That said, I know a bunch of old Colt fans that cheer the Ravens but their NFC team is the Eagles especially from when there was no NFL team in Baltimore.  There were no Ravens when I moved to the South Central but I don’t think I would ever follow a moved team.

BTW, through my job, I know several N DE folks that are Ravens fans and a couple,of cowpad fans.  I know several Giants fans from South Jersey and even a few Jets fans.  (They consider both to be Jersey teams).  I know one cowpad fan from around here and no giants fans.).  I know tons of natives to the area and they are all Eagles fans.
