I still have concerns about the speed of this offense.  I think Quez and OZ should platoon until one really separates themselves, but OZ isn't really someone who gets behind a defense.

He impersonated one a couple of times last night.

I’m not disagreeing that Quez could be upgraded but I’m not going to crown Zaccheaus anything after a two catch game.

I've seen Zaccheaus make plays going back to when he was in Atlanta.

Quez has never really done anything.   2 things he's stood out for is the 90+ yard catch vs SF a couple years ago and dropping a big pass in the SB.

Not saying Zaccheaus is Randy Moss or anything but he should see more snaps as the 3rd WR than Quez.

It's interesting to see that Blankenship just might be a legit starting safety in the NFL...and one who is still getting better.

The turnovers Reed is causing are legit. CJGJ got a lot of love in here last year, but he was more opportunistic and on the backs of other players making good plays.

Yeah I heard that. He must have been thinking about something else.

He said 3-0 for consecutive years for the first time since '93.

oh I was singing his praises for that game- that doesn't take away the frustrations of watching him as our DC and his Defenses bending and breaking - especially getting burned by the same play twice last year in the SB for TD's.... I can forgive one, but the second time you see the same play, you should know whats coming he was OUTCOACHED in the SB - with a nod to the terrible field condition

Yeah I'm annoyed at Gannon too for how things ended, but he's doing better in Arizona than I expected.  That roster is a MESS and while they're not doing great, they're playing hard.

Jalen is 20-1 in his last 21 regular season starts.

Yes.   Blankenship is reading the play, reading the QB's eyes and jumping routes.  He is fun to watch.

The team is 20-1 in the last 21 games that he started.    Teams have W-L records, not QBs... no matter what the media wants you to believe.  TEAMS win, and TEAMS lose.  Players, at all positions, contribute to those Ws and Ls.

The team is 0-3 in the last 3 regular season games he didn't start.  But yeah let's act like the most important and impactful position in football doesn't have a huge role to play in the outcome of games.

You people that always had an issue with Jalen just can't let it go.  It's pathetic.

Gannon has always struck me as a coach who can likely be a better head coach than coordinator.  Some guys -- like Hackett, Bowles, Mike Tice, etc -- are much better suited at scheming defenses than being in charge of a roster of players.  While Gannon comes off as dorky or campy, I think he likely relates well to players and can motivate them.

I don't think he's going to get enough time in Arizona to succeed, though.  He should have waited for a better opportunity, but it's damn tough to turn down an NFL Head Coach offer if it comes.

Agreed. I thought a lot of Hurts passes last night were hitting the guy in the chest rather than leading him. I don’t know if that was designed for the WRs to cut back and so limiting YAC but that’s how it felt just watching it live. But that throw ended up being a really nice throw.

The throw was a really nice throw, but even more impressive to me was how Hurts behaved like a "real QB" continuing to scan the field despite feeling the pressure, extending the play (which Dickerson noted in the Twitter comment), and then anticipating just how much ground OZ could cover, and pulling the trigger on the throw ... and then taking a massive hit from the pass rusher the split second after he released the ball.  The fact that the throw itself was outstanding, just high enough to be unreachable by the upfield defensive back and perfectly in place for OZ to bring it in and then YAC to the end zone was the cherry on top.

It is worth repeating ... it was a "real QB" play.

I don't know how Covey gets on the field for 4 offensive snaps, but Penny can't get on the field for any at RB.  It wasn't like Gainwell was tearing it up out there.

Minor gripe after a dominating win, but unless Penny was sick he could/should have been used a bit.

Something has to be going on with Penny. I know people have different facial expressions but he didn't look happy at all to be on the sideline with his helmet on.

He also tackles, missed one but had some nice plays where he read quickly and stuffed the run.

CJGJ thought run defense wasn't a priority.

I am claiming a "W" on the bonus.  The Defense forced 3 turnovers as I count them.  Blankenship INT, Carter FF, and the Safety, to me, is a turnover.   On one play the Bucs have the ball. On the next, the Bucs are free kicking the ball back to the Eagles, and the Eagles get to add '2' to their score.  That's a turnover for me.   But, you can put it under 'honorable mention', if you prefer.

Fair enough.  Your wish is my command.

Gainwell should still get a lot of snaps. Swift is small and you can't give him a 75% snap share.

IMO, the bigger problem is Boston Scott being out. Penny is bad, so we need Scott to get some of Gainwell's snaps. Scott goes down on contact too easy, but he can definitely eat some 1st down snaps and show enough juice.

He is? Seems like there's not much of a sample size to say this

Aaron Rodgers is 1-0 this year

QB is the most important position. Ask the Jets.  And it's clear Hurts is a huge reason they are winning. But absolutely he doesn't do it alone

Tbh I’ve been more impressed with the cardinals offense than the cardinals defense. Considering Joshua dobbs didn’t even get to the team until after the last preseason game. Their offensive coordinator has done a pretty good job using the weapons he has and working to dobbs strengths. Their oline isn’t that good yet he’s managed to score 28 points in back to back weeks. If the cardinals can continue to play above their heads on offense, i have to think Drew petzing is going to become a a HC candidate. I thought that offense was gonna be bad like bottom 5.

Who are you calling 'you people'?

I didn't say anything negative about Hurts.  I made a statement about TEAMS.  But, sure... Brock Purdy is undefeated in his career as an NFL QB in games he both starts and finishes.  He's the GOAT.

Once again, football is a TEAM sport.  Yes, some positions have more impact than others... but TEAMS win and TEAMS lose.  Or, we can go ahead and blame the Super Bowl loss on Hurts, after all (by your logic), HE (not the team) lost that game.

I think Sweat is causing more havoc than the stat sheet shows. The guy is everywhere. He's going to get home on a lot of sacks. Reddick on the other hand, needs to step up.

Was that Tui's first career sack?  He was beside himself with enthusism.  Probably some carryover from the final days before the 53-man cut down where he was no doubt worried if he would even make the cut.
