The tush push outrage is so manufactured. I don't think anyone actually cares, it's like the anti Sixers tanking faux outrage. It comes from jealousy their teams aren't wise or good enough to do the same thing and trying to justify it with phony logic.

The only thing different than a "normal play" is pushing him over, but that happens all the time. Toss play in the red zone where the RB gets to the 1 yard line and teammates push him in? Happens all the time. Don't see any outrage about that. It's the same damn concept. Ban one you gotta ban all.

If they outlaw it they will just put two 320lb guys at RB and have them lead block to a pair of gaps for similar results.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles eventually add Jordan Davis to the backfield on those sneak attempts. Line him up next to Hurts, right behind Mailata and Dickerson. No team could neutralize that level of power.

@Iggles_Phan well means we just got to get to the World Series

That would be insane! Has he tried listening to dolphin mating songs? Maybe he can make the NLCS with those.

The thing I found funniest about the short yardage push is how much it was used last night - almost a middle finger to those who hate it.   Nobody likes it, and we don't care

I want the Mailata eligible rugby screen at some point.  (I only half want this because of injury concerns but man, those highlights from his early days)

Would love to know who was at fault on the White interception. I tend give the QB the benefit of the doubt, and technically White has a sort of aligned with inside leverage, but he’s charging so hard to the sideline he he no prayer of covering Swift on the Texas route.

It was all the rage in the 80s.

The early kick slide that Lane (and many other OTs) have perfected and the lax policing of how far he sets up from the LoS, I think is much more egregious - but that supports a certain brand of football, so is Rich OK with that?

I don't get the out rage. If a bunch of defenders can push a runner backwards, why can't a bunch of offensive guys push said runner forward. It's a basic scrum.

Sign/draft some heavier defensive lineman - that's how DAL has responded to being run off the field.  There are solutions - be better.

Didn't help them on Sunday.

Fletcher Cox has said he wants to be a part of that.  Jordan Davis is a great choice, and there are others. Jalen Carter.

They went so far to the light-quick end of the spectrum, it might take a minute.

Carter is predictably getting all the shine, but don't lose sight of the fact that Jordan Davis is a beast as well:

Add Steen to the OL,  and make Mailata eligible.  The Eagles have a great OL, and I'd like to see all those guys get TDs,  either running or catching.

And they also get low and their torso and neck is largely aligned. With some strength, very hard to move when they control the timing of the move forward.

I have a thought about how to counter it but not gonna give anyone reading an idea.  Screw the puritan NFL people

Well, you have to have someone really quick who can match Kelce’s get off and someone really powerful who can match Dickerson’s power. Almost all our QB sneaks are in that A gap, although, of course there is no gap on this play. Just cheek by jowl.

I said it throughout the game yesterday, Baldy is right. Hurts needs to trust his OL more. It's hurting the passing game. It's way more to blame than Brian Johnson.

I wonder if the shoulder injury from last year has him skittish.

"She doesn't sweat as much, but she's just as dangerous."

I saw or heard someone call Dickerson 'country strong' and that kid is very much that.

The OL is a great blend of size, knowledge, talent and coaching, and the push is almost the apex of that.  I am interested to see if they try more variances of the play by going to Jurgens side or realigning players.

You made my day, dude. Someone actually recognizing my reference and then adding quotes! Brilliant!
