You would think people like Nick Wright and Rich Eisen would be intelligent enough to understand why the Eagles are so successful at this play and no other team is. This is just lazy. Also, is Nick Wright trying to physically look more and more like the troll that he portrays? It's getting weird

Did you just put the name Nick Wright and the word intelligent in the same sentence?    :nonono:

So funny….I passed a SWIFT truck on the highway today.  Thought of our QB, not that other person

Reggie, prime Dawk, and I struggle to think of a LB that can live in todays era outside of pre Flight Night Injury Bradley.  Not sure on WR.  Devonta is a slightly slower but somehow better all around WR version of Jackson.  Westbrook and Swift are essentially twins.  Reggie is a no brainer.

Vea made it too easy at times. Not that I study his film or anything, but his reputation far exceeded his play last night.

Didnt Vea almost not play? I feel like whatever injury he had played a big part in last nights game.

The Man has only coached three games and some people are going a little overboard.  The Eagles Offense is doing better than people are giving credit.  But because our running attack has really exploded people are more focused on the passing game.  We've had a 100 Yard WR and 100 Yard Rusher in back to back games.  Put up over 450 Yards of Offense in back to back games.  If those yards were mostly passing instead of running, I wonder what the response would be.   I do think they are leaving some points out there.  I definitely think the scores in all three games could have been even larger.  But it's going to look a little different.  Some of the miscommunications are on the players and not necessarily Brain play calling.  I think he's growing into the role.

Quite frankly I am pretty happy that the team appears to be able to run it down team's throats at will....as in a demoralizing, run the clock out drive to secure the game like last night.

Reggie would OP an already borderline OP DL.

Desean?  Your obsession with speed never ends.   Agree to disagree on this being worth considering.

Westbrook?  Swift can play a very similar role to what he did early in his career.

How can you miss the most obvious glaring one?   Add BDawk to this team and we can stop worrying about safety.   For me the answer is BDawk and it isn't even close.   If I had to name a second... I'll go with Al Harris to play the slot.

Dawk obviously comes to mind, and I immediately say "we're fine there".

Another real problem I have with banning the tush push (and I don't say this as a biased Eagles fan) is that only one team has perfected it and utilizes it with meaningful frequency.

If every NFL game featured 3-5 tush pushes from each team, then I'd get trying to ban a boring, automatic 1 yard play for the sake of watchability.  But it hasn't caught on because no one else has perfected it.  It's a slippery slope to ban a competitive advantage.  Contrast that with the universally utilized shift in baseball.

I find it infuriating when Mahomes freelances outside of the pocket, toes the LOS, and hits someone downfield every time.  I hate it.  He's the only player in the NFL that does it.  It's a ridiculous advantage.  Can we ban that?  What about a prime Randy Moss go route?

I think it's risky to ban something that one team excels at, has perfected, and has turned into an advantage.

Ban it once it catches on and you're sick of watching 32 teams do it.

Talk of banning a play for aesthetic reasons in football is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. Might as well throw victory formation in there --- I mean ... talk about a boring play. What about "clocking" the ball? What's so great about that?

How many times have you been looking for a game to watch and stopped on one with terrible weather? I do that a lot. Outside of the elements, I'd have no interest in that game. Sometimes neither team can do much of anything as a result, but for some reason I enjoy every minute of it.

IMO, anybody that complains about aesthetics in football should stick to rhythmic gymnastics or synchronized swimming.

No.  Defense?  Absolutely.  Offensively?  Not even close.  Combined?  Still a landslide tilting towards Mike.

Wilbert and Seth. Pre-injury Wes Hopkins and Jason Peters. Reggie and Eric Allen. Mix and match.

Willie T has to be on that list.

If you could add one historic eagle to this team, who would it be?  Try to account for fit, not just your favorite Eagle.

The 3 that come to mind for my short list are Reggie, Desean, and Westbrook.

The last thing this team needs is another DL, but putting Reggie on this line might break the NFL.

Likewise, wr is a strength, but adding Desean to Devonta/Brown is a disaster for secondaries.

Lastly…Westbrook behind this OL…as a 1-2 with Swift…that makes 200 rushing yards per game sustainable.

I like your 3 picks.

I would add Brian Dawkins and Seth Joyner to the short list.

I think prime Brian Dawkins might be even more useful today than he was in the early 2000’s. A safety who can cover like a CB but blitz and play the run like a LB fits perfectly with the modern 3 WR 1 TE offenses and defenses that line up in a front 6 instead of 7.

Seth… well, we need a LB, and Joyner was a do-it-all playmaker who could take a weakness to a strength.

I’d add to your bit on Jackson that he was a weapon as a punt returner as well, which would help, and his speed combined with the possession ability of Brown and Smith would be devastating.

But at the end of the day I think the only right answer is Reggie. Sticking him on this DL would be absolutely insane. Genuinely, I don’t know how you pass protect against White, Carter, Reddick, and Sweat. Do you double Reggie AND Carter? If so you’re keeping 6 or 7 players to block and you’re still letting Reddick and Sweat go 1v1 on the edge while removing a potential receiver.

Teams would try to dink and dunk, but the run game would be non existent and you will inevitably find yourself in 3rd and long.

His factual statements were (1) it’s a team sport and (2) no single player can do it alone.

specifically he said

"The team is 20-1 in the last 21 games that he started.    Teams have W-L records, not QBs... no matter what the media wants you to believe.  TEAMS win, and TEAMS lose.  Players, at all positions, contribute to those Ws and Ls.”

Ever try arguing with a doorknob?  Probably more successful.  He’s a troll, Matt.  Engages in a way to get reactions.  Rather narcissistic, if you ask me.  Try Ignore and enjoy the peace.

@Iggles_Phan Rojas might get the chance to send us to the playoffs.

One play I haven’t seen mentioned that was kinda surprising was after the Hurts interception to Swift, Devin White returns it and has only Jalen Hurts in his immediate way…. and steps out of bounds. I’m surprised he didn’t try to run through him there.

This was a cool design.

As soon as he picked i thought it’s gonna be a pick sixk and i had a flashback to ronde since they were honoring him at halftime
