I have asked this here before but do you remember the Sunoco sticker books?  About 22 (11/11)?  Different players from each team. And you got the stickers for filling up?

I was too young for those but these were in my wheelhouse.

I found someone selling about 30 of them for dirt cheap a few years back.

I have given away a bunch of them to friends who are fans of a certain team (even Cowboys, bleh)

I had the Eagles helmet one and it broke so my kids got me the one with the eagle as a replacement.

I also remember roaming the streets of Philly near Torresdale Ave and Van Kirk street looking for discarded pepsi bottlecaps.

Yup, Nolan has barely played, seems to be a bit of red shirt year for him

Porter sure would look good in this secondary, especially with how long in the tooth slay and bradberry are

Best case he becomes Reddick. I'd still take a lock down corner, but that's just me. Both are important positions but I think they need more help there.

So true. My nephews knowledge of NFL history is from playing older versions of Madden, so basically back to 2004. He thinks old highlights are boring. Tried showing him one of my favorite NFL Films of all time...NFL Rocks and he couldn't stand it.

There were so many great productions from NFL Films. The NFL Bloopers, year in reviews for every team and so on. I loved that stuff.

Its crazy how I can see a box score where Namath throws for 400 yards and 6 TDs and then go on YouTube and find out there is a 20 minute NFL game of the week film on the game.

As was Doc.

I love Doc, and he was nowhere close to Maddux.

The Sixers are a distant third as far as Philly teams go at this point - what a horribly run franchise they are.

I have no idea what their record is or if they are even playing right now but Union jumped them.

Hate to admit it, but I agree.  When Maddux was at his best, he could shut out a team with like 85 pitches.  And he never threw faster than low 90s.  Just masterful command of the strikezone.

Yup, seems Howie and Co value edge over CB and I'm sure most teams do but Smith is a bit of a tweener and I'd rather go with the corner with really long arms.

The Flyers will be singularly focused this season.  If they're not, they'll be tossed down a flight of stairs with wheelchairs at the bottom.

Most people were down on Porter in here. It will be interesting to watch the narrative change if he continues a strong rookie season while Smith is brought along slowly.

I loved Porter but I have no problem with the Smith pick after he fell that far. I think he will turn out petty good too.

My only concern with Smith so far is he looks visibly small out there - a few times when he was on the field Monday night I thought he was a corner at first glance.

Yup, not sure why people on here were down on Porter, when the eagles 2nd 1st round pick came up and porter was still there I thought he would be the pick.

Made sense as he was local kid and a position if need, when the eagles took Nolan instead I wasn't bummed or shocked I just preferred porter.

Glad he's on an AFC team instead of in division or on the niners or something horrible like that.

Are you comparing him to Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter?  Those dudes are built like brick walls.  Everyone looks small compared to them.

Yup.

He's a bit of a tweener which is why I think he dropped so far.

We'll see what happens.

Hopefully next year he's ballin out And forcing the coaches to get him snaps.

No, not at all.  Just a general observation that I think he looks small on the field.  Maybe if he puts on the obligatory 10-15 pounds of muscle next offseason, that will change

He was handsy in coverage and couldn't catch - physically prototypical.

It sucks that they can't get over the hump but to me its more about the NBA than the Sixers.

Weirdos like Harden, Lillard, and Ben Simmons run the league now instead of being banned until they beg to come back.

Iguodala got paid to not play for the Grizzlies one year. NBA players are awful at running a league. Only crazy people would empower them to do that.

Not sure how to record that one.  Under "Washington fans"?

I'll take his 38-13 and make it my own.  And my prop bet is that we sack him one more time than he got sacked last week.  I mean, hey, why not?

Believe it or not: Nolan Smith is faster.

I have every confidence that Smith will turn out to be a stud. He flashed on a couple of plays against the Bucs.

Sixers are on the fast track to being on the Flyers level of Philly sports. This city is all Eagles and Phillies for the next 5 years.

He's usually ranked among the top 10 starting pitchers in MLB history, and certainly the top 10 RHP. Halladay doesn't crack those lists, nor should he.

Low key, the Union are one of the best run franchises in American sports. By US standards they are a damn production line of soccer talent.

According to the google machine, Smith is bigger than Reddick.  Never would have guessed that.  So what the hell do I know

Yeah - I mean Doc was dominant and the best pitcher in the league for what, 4-5 years, but even that run was no where close to Maddux winning the Cy Young 4 years in a row, with an ERA UNDER 2.

No, I get what you're saying.  Still have to wonder if he would be better off as an outside linebacker.

And during the height of the steroid era.
