Siri's comment on little Kenny Gainwell wearing down and sucking the life out of defenses is hilarious as well.

I think its all about the OL wearing down and sucking the life out of defenses.  BUT... having a RB come in with fresh legs at the end, after they've been beaten up for 3 quarters by our huge OL will be a nice change of pace.  Putting in a bigger back makes sense, in one perspective as they can also wear down the defense with their power.   But, putting in a faster, quicker RB (Gainwell vs. Penny in this case) might be just as effective, as the defense might be too slow to get to the spot which is very demoralizing.

Now close your eyes and imagine if this was an Eagles fan

As a vistiing team player, better to not put yourself in a position where home team fans can interact with you like this. Seems like it's just asking for trouble. But yes, obviously Packers fans are gigantic turds. That goes without saying.

I hear you... but why would a Lions' player decide to launch himself into the stands at a visiting stadium.    If fans aren't allowed on the field, then players should probably stay out of the seats.

Play foolish games... win foolish prizes.

Looks like he found some Detroit fans to interact with. Fun for the fans or No Fun League? That's a memory those fans will never forget and they have televised footage of it for life.

I'll reserve judgment until they report on what kind of beer it was.

So, crossing boundaries is ok as long as it's fun for someone?    Making memories is the dividing line between good idea and bad idea?

In that case... the Packers fan did nothing wrong either.  He was having fun, and it's a memory he'll also never forget and has televised footage of it for his life too.

I'm guessing his beer sucked and got warm? He was just discarding it. Not the first time an athlete had a beer poured on him :)

If that's true, then it's all good.  I've been to a few beer fights in my frat days and they were all "sponsered" by Milwaukees Best.

they could really use someone other than Gainwell to wear defenses down and suck the life out of them. I guess seeing Boston Scott all these years, comparatively they are fooled in to thinking Gainwell is a big back.

It's not really the backs that wear defenses down but more so the constant onslaught of being thrown around by the punishing OL. After getting pummeled for 3 quarters by three hundred pound lineman that can actually move to the second level and destroy LBs and DBs, they're not going to be doing much in the 4th. I love when our OL is on the attack instead of playing passive pass protection.

Is anyone willing to fight me at MetLife Stadium on the 15th? Just got tickets for that game. Got a parking pass so catch me in one of the gold lots.

Somewhere Bacarty is licking his chops to beat you down in front of his kid.

I don’t know who Joe Concha is but grow a pair and maybe listen to New Heights.  Pretty sure Mama Kelce has heard that word before. If my son was dating…..I’d tell him to marry that gal.

One of the criticisms of Jordan Davis here in the Blog has been his tendency to stand up much too much.  As good as this safety was as a team play, I felt, when watching it live, and again in watching the replays, that it was an example of Davis doing exactly what the Blog had criticized him for ... standing up and losing his leverage.  But it also is a play that demonstrates two of his positive attributes, his power and his use of his hands.  Even from the reduced leverage position, he drives the O-Lineman backwards. Thoughts?

Much as I admire Fran Duffy and relish his film breakdowns, I have to take some issue with his analyses of both of these plays. On the first play Davis is double-teamed and still drives the RG back into the RB. Morrow gets credit for the tackle but the RB wasn't getting out of the end zone anyway. He was already stacked up.

I posted on the second play yesterday. Davis starts on the inside shoulder of the LG #71 but beats the center #70 with a swim move over his right shoulder, then drives through the RG #69 to completely blow up the play. 71 and 70 end up blocking air and 69 simply doesn't have the power to stop him.

For my money Davis is the key player in these two clips. Both monster plays.
