  • Personal Note: Today was a tough day. My wife’s father passed away after a long battle with cancer at 3am this morning. He has 2 son-in-laws, and our teams are the Eagles and Bucs. So…it was kind

It’s been 4 weeks of the same thing though. Every week it looks he’s open, but he’s not getting the ball. It SHOULD be an easy correction but for some reason it isn’t.

He's open alot.  But they have a ton of options on offense.  Last couple weeks it seems they are force feeding AJ Brown after his sideline blowup.

A big push forwards in the Cards game for a 1st down. Cant think it will get any headlines, but far more egregious than the Brotherly Shove in terms of the play aesthete

18 points is enough.  New England can't score.

this is encouraged though....how does it make sense?

One is a team celebrating together. One is a guy jawing in the face of a defender on the ground. This isn’t even close to the same thing.

They need to get Goedert involved more - when he’s active our offense is way more deadly

We will see if they do or don’t get steamrolled. I wouldn’t be entirely shocked if one game they did (last year is about the only year besides 2017 where i feel like we didn’t have that type of game) but for the most part i think they will be in every game. They have a daunting schedule coming up if vs. Miami, at Washington, vs. Dallas, at KC (off a bye), vs. bills, vs. niners, at Dallas and at seattle. You are gonna know just how bad or good the eagles defense is after that stretch.

I think people have to remember that we lost the Super Bowl last year. The Super Bowl hangover is supposed to be a real thing. The Eagles just became the first team to go 4–0 after losing the Super Bowl in the last quarter century.  I think people are underestimating how difficult that is to do. Just about every team the Eagles face on their schedule is playing their super bowl.  They have a target on their back. To get through the first 4 games without a loss is not a small task.

but in no way am I suggesting that they don’t have areas to improve on… They have many…but they are still stacking wins

Clearly Hurts is racist. Doesn't want to give it to Goedert for obvious reasons. Boycott Hurts!

Also - will people stop sucking off the Dolphins now?  Thanks

I don’t disagree with anything but you think they would draw up at least one play to him for big yardage by now. He’s on pace for like 250 yards this season.

The taunting call was weak.

But AJ can't put himself in that position either.

Yeah you can't direct the ball towards an opponent in any way.  AJ knows it's a penalty.

Someone told me Parsons got hurt?

So I keep hearing people say we need to trade for a CB.  While I agree, who do you think is an option?

I mentioned it earlier they’re kind of performing like the Phillies did the first two months of the year but are still undefeated unlike where the Phillies were below .500. They were very inconsistent. When the offense was good, the bullpen wasn’t. When the bullpen was good, the starting pitchers weren’t. When the starting pitchers were good the hitting wasn’t. And all those things were never all on the same page at the same time. It took them about two months to finally get themselves right and in the right direction.

i felt this way Since before the season. I would be surprised if the Eagles got themselves back to the Super Bowl. Not cause they don’t have the talent to do it. It is really hard to get back after losing a Super Bowl the year before. The only team that’s done it in the last decade was the New England Patriots and they had Tom Brady. And frankly they got pretty fortunate because they probably should’ve lost a Kansas City in the afc title game  if the guy doesn’t jump offsides. So you have to have some luck on your side too.

Can we make a deadline trade for a real OC?

yeah, I'm pointing all fingers at the coaches. What in the world is with the playcalling, the defense, the use of players, the clock awareness etc. This team looks confused way more than it should, especially considering the important pieces (Hurts, Sirianni) have been together for 3 years now. I have no idea what they are doing. I'm OK with Kenny Gainwell being in the rotation, but he should not be spelling Swift for series at a time. Hell, where's Boston Scott? We know he has juice but he can't even get a carry now?  Coming out of a timeout on 3rd and long and you run Gainwell off tackle?  Who thinks that's a good idea?

Outside of one play, he still looks like his feet are stuck in mud.

Being 4-0 after this game is huge. If they lose and are 3-1 after that performance, the locker room could have been seriously tested.  The need to figure this out and quick.

I trust the offense to get better do to the players and Siri having a voice in things but not the defense. They will not change their stance on the secondary so how are they supposed to get better. No confidence there. It's like the Super Bowl where guys are wide open all over again. What did they actually change in the off season? They had all off season to work on the problems that were obvious and it's the same crap.

Are you talking about goedert? He’s completely disappeared as a playmaker in the offense. I’d have to watch the all 22 but feels like he’s either open and they miss him or they can’t get him the ball besides 4-6 yard routes outside of a rare intermediate route

He did but he's back in.  Seems to be limping a little still.

Yes… it’s a very difficult thing to do. And you do have to have some luck on your side. I think we should probably consider ourselves lucky that we’re in the conversation to the degree that we are.

The Bears seem to be the first team done for the year… is Eddie Jackson still good/healthy enough to help at safety - Edmunds dropping that gimme in EZ was frustrating.

For example, Jeremy Chinn (CAR) on his last year of his deal.  Good player on a rebuilding team

I’d shoot for the stars I’d love to get jackson and jaylon Johnson. Johnson is a FA at the end of the year and doesn’t seem like the bears are extending him. Jackson if he can stay healthy his a solid upgrade to what they currently have. That said I don’t see us getting both.

Mac Jones out here giving the cowboys 14 points

In other news, the Pats may finally be bad enough for Belichick to get fired.  They are baaaaaaaaad
