I don't think Wilson is as bad as everyone thinks. It's the awful oline and lack of dedication to the run that is causing him the most trouble. Kid has the arm.

I still don’t know that he has the head.  Granted, I’m not sure he’s been handled properly, so it may not be fair to say that.

Can someone pull up the play before this and see where the ball is when our player went down.  I'm pretty sure it was this one where the spot was brutal.  Shouldn't have even needed the brotherly shove

I think they did him dirty since the minute they drafted him. Still think he has more talent than the Baker Mayfield, Mac Jones, and Daniel Jones of the world.

Regarding the call on Sauce last night:

I hear people say that officials should be consistent with their calls and how they let players play all game.  However when a game is close and coming down to the end don't you want the correct call to be made?  Like it was mentioned by I think @e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! if that was AJ or Devonta us Eagles fans would be losing our minds if that wasn't called.  So while I agree officials need to be consistent, if a penalty is obvious it has to be called.

You can't compare it to Bradberry's penalty in the SB.  He gave a little tug of the jersey where Sauce is practically giving the WR a hug past 5 yards of the LOS.

The unintentionally sarcastic response is.  Do the rules suggest that they are to be more tightly enforced at the end of the game than at the beginning?  I've not come across rules in any sport that do that, so one can question why officials give more leeway early in the game, and not at the end.

We saw the Eagles deal with Parsons effectively by leaving him unblocked.  I remember seeing Chip run a read-option where he left the DT unblocked.  Just a thought.

Was it Chip or Doug that did that to Von Miller? Just left him out there, unsure of what to do

Is this really what happened?

I believe so.  When I saw it live it looked like Payne was offsides from the beginning.  I lost my mind when they called it on Dickerson

There were a lot more than a couple calls. It was all game. That holding was a BAD hold. The dude try to disengage and couldn't. His arm were up trying to get away and couldn't for like 5 seconds. There was a personal foul on the Jets early in the game where the chiefs initiated something but Jets got called for retaliation. Then late in the game Pacheco shoves a dude down after the play and doesn't get called and the ref was standing right there. There were calls and noncalls going the chiefs way which happens all the time. Everything goes the Chiefs way. They are the golden child with golden boy majomes and can't be touched.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting rules, but if you're engaged in the internal part of the pads and face to face isn't that allowed? Or at least usually permitted? Here's the play in question. Seems like the Jets defender lost the rep big time to me.

So I just watched both the controversial calls at the end of the Jets/Chiefs game. The Gardner call was kinda soft but definitely a hold if you're going to call it. The non call the holding looked egregious at first but the more I look the more it seems like the "holding" was to the internal part of the pads and face to face engaged.

I don't get the conspiracy theories about the game being rigged there.

I don't think the call against Gardner was correct.  He didn't grasp his jersey and it looked to me that Valdes Scantling ran into the contact when he went upfield rather than Gardner reaching out to encircle him.  He also removed his arm and didn't impede him.  His arm was in a bad position and that sometimes results in these calls but it wasn't a good call.  Gardner didn't obstruct him.  It definitely looked to me that he had the outside of his arm and not inside his pads.

I don't think it was a conspiracy.  I just think it was the refs not making good calls.

Just like I don't think there was a conspiracy against the Eagles.  I just think the refs made repeated bad calls.  It happens.

That might be allowed for maybe a second …maybe 2 …not 4-5 seconds when the defender is clearly trying to disengage and the o-lineman has him locked and tugging all over his jersey

that was a pretty incredible jump pass

Is it really that great a pass?  Looks a little bit like a YOLO throw where the DB just happened to fall down.   Better question is why are there two Indy WRs right there at the same basic place.

The at bat by Brett Myers really made this possible. That was an awesome run by the Phillies. So many incredible moments

Funny thing is... in that moment, I think everyone knew that game was over, and by extension that series, even though it was only the 2nd inning of Game 2.  Sabathia was their best and they ran him out of there.

To make that kind of throw, being in mid-air with Aaron Donald breathing down your neck like that, it's impressive.  Not so much the placement, but that he was able to get that off at all.

F Rodney Harrison.  I bet that company btch would never call Mac Jones garbage, even though he's no better

First thing I’m doing if I’m Lurie or Roseman this week is getting on the phone with the league office and talking about this play and what the hell is going on. The league clearly hates it, they know it’s a loophole, and if they want to get rid of it then do it in the offseason. But you can’t have crap like this happen and you can’t sabotage the play by going against the rules already in place.

What's the loophole?  Pushing a runner from behind has always been permitted.  You can't pick him up and pull him forward... but you can absolutely push them.

Grasping and holding a jersey is holding no matter where his hands are located.  https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/nfl-rulebook/#article-3-illegal-block-by-offensive-player

Use his hands or arms to materially restrict or alter the defender’s path or angle of pursuit. It is a foul regardless of whether the blocker’s hands are inside or outside the frame of the defender’s body. Material restrictions include but are not limited to:

  1. grabbing or tackling an opponent;
  2. hooking, jerking, twisting, or turning him; or
  3. pulling him to the ground.

Kudos to Chris Jones for staying classy.  Zach Wilson came out and had a good game last night.  Harrison's attack was unwarranted and is insulting.  I think Booger's comments were from last season and after Wilson didn't take responsiblity for the offense playing poorly.  https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/robert-saleh-calls-second-half-offense-dog-crap-but-zach-wilson-doesnt-think-he-let-jets-defense-down  I don't think they were to the same degree as Harrsion and were actually in response to some of Wilson's comments on past performances.  It was inappropriate to bring his background into it but he didn't mention race.  He mentioned wealth.

Good for Chris Jones for not taking the bait. He actually looked at Harrison like he's an idiot.

Dallas needs a CB too and will probably trade for one at the deadline.  I'd say we shouldn't let them get the better player.

I don’t think they will.  That has not been Jerry’s style in recent years.  They like Bland

3 hours ago, Iggles_Phan said:

2 is a big difference over 5.  So, yeah, it does.  If Dallas wins the division... we go to Dallas and SF...

Imagine:

1 - SF
2 - DAL
3 - TB
4 - DET

5 - PHI
6 - fill in whomever
7 - fill in whomever.

Eagles path to the SB is on the road at Detroit, then on the road at SF, then on the road at DAL.

If you flip flop SF and DAL in the seeding... then its the same, only the order of facing DAL/SF changes.

But, getting the 2 seed means we host one of them.   That's a huge difference.   Winning the division is a massive priority.

Not possible… that would require the Cowboys to get past the divisional round. They have not proven capable in just about three decades. I’m not ready to say they are there, yet.  When Dak has to play from behind, he folds.  He would not have won the game for the Eagles yesterday if he was our quarterback.

I hope I’m wrong but i actually think the rams have a good chance at beating the eagles on Sunday. I’m surprised that line is 5.5. I don’t think the rams are great but they are a team that can exploit a lot of the eagles issues defensively. And offensively down jurgens could be an issue with Donald.

Unfortunately, I agree. If we don’t see the coverage scheme changing, or put Stafford on his back early and often… I have a feeling it will be a long day for the Eagles defense

Weird.  The NFL and Taylor Swift is a classic combination, like lamb and tuna fish.

I think he's probably on par with Daniel Jones.  He has looked terrible and unable to make throws with any kind of accuracy.

Went to this website not logger into my account and it was shocking how many ads there were.  Wonder if that scares people off from registering not knowing the ads disappear when you're logged in.
