Some halftime poetry:

Whenever I get down....

When Hurts is not in the zone...

The best way to shake that frown...

Is watching the Giants and Daniel Jones.

Can we read it as slam poetry?

The solution is to bring motion across the formation to pick up the scraping LB or use a FB.

The answer is to keep running Swift at 6 yards a pop lol

I want that technology that Peyton has. That was awesome

Yes, with lots of bongos.

It's funny how she is always front and center but their dad is nowhere to be seen.

Amazing that Alvin kamara has 13catches for 33 yards after one game.

He was two for four yesterday and the two misses were drops.

He should do commercials for the 50+ dating site OurTime.com.

WTF play call was that

This may sound silly but Morrow is 28..I wonder if they can lock him up for an inexpensive 2-3 year deal to keep SOMEONE around at LB.

Dean will be around, and I'd be very happy to see Morrow back.  That makes a pretty small LB corps, but that is an acceptable risk IMO.

I missed it, why did Geno get the unsportsmanlike?

The other side of the argument is how many times are you going to hit lightning in a bottle with a guy like Swift?   And getting him at a bargain price, team friendly deal?

How different would this team be right now with just Gainwell, Penny and Scott (who’s also been hurt)?

I’m not saying completely ignore the position. This is about the star RB’s wanting multi year deals around $15M per with guarantees. It’s not worth it.

Thankful for Elliott.

Witherspoon is fun.

I hate that kind of play from QBs. Its obviously grounding, but because hes out of the pocket he's allowed to just dump it.

Considering the APY at some other positions that's not too crazy.

It sounds like a lot but NFL contracts are inflating like crazy.  And those guys deserve to be in the same ballpark.

I think maybe a happy medium would be like 10-12M which is pretty low but teams act like it's ridiculously high and want to pay RBs like 1-2M. That's just nuts.

I didn't. Don't keep up with celebrity gossip. Apparently Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are a thing?

Something just doesn’t feel genuine or real about it. Arranged relationships are a thing in Hollywood/celebrity culture to help boost the brands for those involved. I know Swift is already big enough and doesn’t need it, but it’s not unrealistic to think that this is some marketing deal by the NFL. And Kelce had a reality show before so this doesn’t seem like something he’d be opposed to for the attention.

How much could be genuine or real in the world of Taylor Swift?  She could just go to a bar and get picked up?  Not really.  How could she naturally just get a date, at her level?  Almost everyone is down for her, even Travis Kelce.  Royalty?  A fellow Billionaire?  Taylor Swift is really really popular,  I can't think of any female figure in entertainment who has been as popular as Taylor Swift.  Maybe there was one before my time,  but not in the last 40 years.   A tremendous amount of money is being given to Taylor Swift by a wide variety of people, mostly women under 40.

The NFL has been caring way too much about getting women to watch.  The NFL has been making the game worse for years to get women to watch more.  (Focus groups show women don't like the run, NFL tries to dial down on the run)   No idea if dialing down on the run actually works to increase eyeballs.

Putting Taylor Swift on the screen is proven to work to get female eyeballs to watch.  Maybe the NFL can go "we have Taylor Swift to bring in female eyeballs,  we can leave the run game alone,  maybe we shouldn't ban things just because they're effective, or because women don't like them."

Tough to know how things would have gone. When the Lions drafted Gibbs that almost certainly triggered a lot of teams to call them about Swift’s availability.

If that doesn’t happen, I think the eagles probably look for a RB in the 3rd or 4th. To give an example, Achane went after we selected both Steen and Brown. He was the guy I wanted if we couldn’t get Gibbs in the draft, and has a similar skill set to both Swift and Gibbs.

I think that would have worked out OK.

The Eagles have won 21 of their last 22 regular-season games (.957) started by Jalen Hurts. Since 2021, Hurts’ .765 winning percentage (26-8) leads all NFL QBs.
